Listen when you walk into this place you can smell the soul food be cooked.lets start with the biscuits very plain but can definitely tell it was home made , they are huge!!!!! Second the collards greens was cooked very well a little more seasoning that would of took it over the top. Alright let's get to the good part the potato salad was 👏 amazing, I waent expecting the flavor to be so good and the potato was cooked really good too . And the chicken lord have mercy lol That was cooked with somebody grandma watching them to make sure it was done right lol It was juicy, seasoned, and crispy, I would come again just to try the other foods on the menu !!!!

I recently visited the restaurant and it will be the last time and I support black owned restaurants. It's kind of pricey and the food was nasty ordered collards greens and mac and cheese with pork chops one fried and one smothered first of all the greens were cold and gritty full of stems and the mac was boxed mac and cheese and they tried to and more cheese and dried it up and pork chops were salty as hell. The waiter was excellent and the atmosphere was good. The only reason I went was people was posting good things about it on social media but I won't be going and I'm a chef

Fantastic food. Hot biscuits started this wonderful dining event for our group. Wonderful fried chicken and could be some of the best chicken I've ever eaten. Wonderful crispy skin, moist and tender chicken cooked completely throughout with being greasy. I had the corn pudding, which was the best I've ever eaten. The Mac & Cheese is hands-down the very best I've eaten in my entire life. This is not the Mac & Cheese out of the box. This is a homemade Mac & Cheese unlike anything you've ever tasted. Others in our group had the collards, potatoes and gravy with everyone agreeing that all items were outstanding. If you enjoy great "country cooking " and/or "soul food", this is the place to go. If you've never had country cooking/soul food, start with the very best at Corey's Chicken Shack.

The biscuits were dry as I am. The green had too many stalks in them. Someone forgot to put sugar in the yams. Last, but not least the chicken was hard as I am and dry. It was a bad experience, not trying to tell nobody not to go there, but that’s what I experienced. also, the cake was dry the lemon one!!😩

By far the best fried chicken in Williamsburg. The mashed potatoes were, I'm pretty sure, fresh made and the green beans were right there with the fried chicken. Service was amazing.

Ashley was very pleasant and polite. You order first and then sit and wait for your chicken to be fried, but it’s worth the wait. This is done of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a LOT). The mac and cheese was disappointing, the mashed potatoes were good (gravy was ok), but the chicken more than made up for it. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in W’burg.

A lil pricey but it was home cooked food. A little saltier than usual, but good portions and probably the only place you can get some good Koolaid.

Food was good and plenty and the service was excellent! It was a pleasure seeing my classmate Hope Bartlett as she was one of the owners and or employees here. We had a private room to ourselves. Tables and chairs were nice and black. The food on the buffet was served by 3 people. Ice tea and lemonade was on one table and desserts (pound cake and peach pie or cobbler) on another table. Someone came around to collect and or remove our plates after we were done. Y'all come and get you some of this! We had baked and fried chicken, green beans, roast beef, yeast rolls, yams, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy.
