I truly enjoyed my meal. The fish was seasoned just right. And the greens were on point! (Seasoned with turkey leg. I dont eat pork)
My husband loved the chicken. And the yeast rolls were warm and soft.
The service was awesome. And the price was reasonable.

I had the turkey wings, collards, and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was delicious. The collards needed to
be cooked some more. The menu states you get 2 turkey wings, but I got 2 flats and one tip plus the flavor was very bland. I have eaten at Corey’s other locations before and the food is about the same. I will definitely put some seasoning in my purchase next time to add some flavor to the greens and the turkey.

The fried whiting and chicken dark meat was scrumptious and hot . Enjoyed the collards and corn pudding. Corn bread and rolls outstanding. Very nice staff and lots of locals do lunch here!!! There wings are down home crispy fried, check it out 👍🏽

I HAD THE TWO TURKEY WINGS. THE MEAT WAR TOUGH. BOTH OF MY VEGETABLES STRING BEANS & COLLARD GREENS WERE VERY SALTY. I WAS NOT PLEASE AT ALL WITH THIS RESERVATION. IT WAS HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I OWNED MY DESSERT & CATERING BUSINESS BACK HOME IN BALTIMORE. I WOULD NEVER SERVED THIS TO ANYBODY. THE BEST WAY TO COOK TURKEY WINGS IS TO SEASON THEM THE NIGHT BEFORE YOU BAKED THEM.

This was our first time trying Corey’s Chicken Shack in Williamsburg, and unfortunately it wasn’t a good experience. We paid a little over $60 for three meals when we came in, but our order never made it to the kitchen, so we waited about an hour before realizing the issue. Since my fiancé wasn’t feeling well after the long wait, we ended up taking the food to go.

When we got back to our hotel, the meals were disappointing. The chicken was greasy, undercooked, and very salty. Between the long wait and the quality of the food, it just didn’t live up to expectations. Hopefully the restaurant can improve, but for us this was not a good first impression.

Great Soul Food restaurant 😋 with lots of homemade options! Don't discount this place just because it's connected to a hotel! The food is awesome! Fried Catfish 🐯🐟 Dinner was outstanding and the🐂 Liver and Onions🧅 , luscious! Even the Mashed Potatoes🥔 were freshly made! Sides were delish also, killer Collards🥬 , tasty Baked Beans (homemade too?). Not a fan of the Coleslaw, though, too rough of a chop and a thin semi-bland sauce. Don't let let anything deter your tasty dinner waiting for you at Corey's!!

Back again - for the Catfish. Maybe Monday was not the cook's best day 😕. The fish was fried perfectly (but I question it being Catfish) and for whatever it was, tasty 😋! The French Fries were waaayy over cooked and the Coleslaw no better than before. Baked Beans were ok and the Potato Salad yummy! The best part of this meal was the 'Cathead' biscuit 😍 served warm while waiting for our order!

Staff is incredibly rude. Not only to my party, but to others as well. One lady in particular spoke in a condescending tone and berated us for asking for clarification! Will not be back!

Best fried chicken I’ve had in Virginia. Stopped by while being on vacation and left beyond satisfied. Mash potatoes, Mac and cheese and fried chicken was delicious!! No need to spend your money at KFC, stop by Corey’s chicken shack for fresh chicken!
