This by far is a hidden gem of Williamsburg. It was my first time here. And I absolutely loved it. The staff here are very nice. The restaurant may be small but it felt as if I was eating in my own home. I had the whiting, corn pudding and mac n cheese. That had to be the best well prepared I have eaten in a long time. Flakey well seasoned and fried just right. This is one added to my favorites.

The place was clean first of all. The young man that took our order was extremely pleasant. I ordered fried chicken livers and they phenomenal. They were seasoned just right and fried to perfection. The macaroni was excellent as was the collard greens. Our wait time was not that long at all The manager was pleasant also. The next time that I am in Williamsburg, I will have to go back. I highly recommend this place.

We an to go back again. The food was good, but a little heavy on salt for the crab cakes. The manager/owner was very accommodating and allowed me to change my order when I informed him about the crab cakes. The food on the buffet was good, especially the Mac and Cheese (which tasted better than the entree version I had). I would recommend this establishment.
The Mount Vernon Square from Alexandria rates this restaurant as a 3. The sweet potatoes tastes like they were from a can. We do not recommend. The cabbage was tasty. The collard greens were ok. Mac and cheese was not home made. Do not recommend. Chocked gizzards were good. Crab cakes all filling not meat. Looked liked a hash brown. They need a chef from Maryland to assist. Corn pudding was good. Do not make this your first stop. However support our own. Have to at least check it out.

Hey don’t eat the food. Don’t eat at this restaurant on richmond road. I have lived in this area for 18 years and have given Corey’s several chances because it is a black own business. Corey is an institution in Williamsburgs. Churches, organizations, Etc use them all the time for catering and I don’t know why because there food is not good. The chicken was dry, the cabbage and greens had no flavor. The Mac and cheese was Kraft straight out the box. Black folks don’t waist you time, money or stomach space.You will be disappointed.
