First Watch is a lively restaurant with a light, upbeat atmosphere and friendly service. The staff knows a lot about nut tree allergies and makes sure there is no cross-contamination in the kitchen. The shrimp & grits are fabulous, with perfectly cooked shrimp and great flavors. The restaurant offers the best coffee, which can even be bought to enjoy at home. Located in a shopping mall in Williamsburg, there is plenty of parking available. Customers often enjoy breakfast here, with many choices like the Trifecta, which includes a waffle or pancakes, two eggs, and a choice of meat. The bacon app is also popular, offering a sweet flavor with a bit of a kick. The steak and eggs hash is a special that is highly recommended while still available. The frittata rustica is larger than expected and very tasty, and the child pancake is huge, often taken home in leftovers. Seasonal Christmas iced coffee is very popular and delicious, though it’s best to order one with regular coffee to enjoy slowly.
