Near the end of our recent vacation trip to Williamsburg, we stopped at the Five Forks Cafe for a late breakfast. We had never been there before, even though we have often vacationed in the area, so we thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed. The food was very good and very plentiful! As you can see, 1 pancake (this picture is a banana pecan pancake my daughter ordered) is plenty for most people. My wife and I both had 3 egg omelets that were delicious. My son...
Was not at all impressed with the food. Ordered a hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. When this arrived to the table, it was literally a frozen hamburger patty that was overcooked covered with onions and gravy. The mashed potatoes and green beans were not bad but nothing to write home about. Keep in mind this meal cost me over $20 with tax and tip.
Delightful waitress (sadly didn't catch her name) and the food was delicious and well priced. I got the French Toast combo with eggs and bacon and the French toast were 2 thick as heck pieces of bread (which most places just give you regular bread slices) which I was super happy with, eggs were soft and well cooked, and the bacon wasn't that paper thin stuff some places give you. We just moved in less than a few miles away and will certainly be back!
