It was pasta night on Monday and it was delicious, our server was very nice and we had a great time, as noise level is high as this is a tavern with a brick floor, we have dine there many times and as always we were very satisfied.
French baguette turkey sandwich was doughy and overall disappointing....skimpy ....have been visiting for over a decade and this was not a good experience.
The waitress was outstanding...I think her name was Jenna. The food was great and of course the wine was fantastic!
My friend and I had a lovely reunion and visit topped only by the food and service! As always a fun and pretty place to visit.
Wonderful experience. We dined outside and it was a great day. We were celebrating birthdays and it made the celebration better.
Ambiance was excellent, casual but very nice. Service including speed of food to table was very good. Wine was excellent as always. Food was okay. Pesto pasta was not very tasty. Crab cakes were pretty good but almost too much risotto. But service and ambiance made it all worth it! Would come again.
Been here several times. Hostess and waitress always friendly and knowledgeable. Food and wine always prepared well and wine exceptional. When raining parking lot needs improving but manageable.
They close between lunch and dinner, however they don't leave enough time between the last lunch reservation and when they close. This can leave diners feeling rushed out the door.
This was not what we expected. With few people in the restaurant the volume was loud and felt like a pub more than a dining experience. The food was good, not great, but few gluten free options, which was a problem for us. The wine pairing was good and enjoyable. We would go back with different expectations.
Wonderful wine, great service and good food. The staff was very accommodating. Helped set a special table for our three grandchildren. Our server was excellent. We will make this a stop each time we visit Williamsburg.

Our experience was well and quantity. We enjoyed our food and were able to enjoy the winery while beating the heat
We have never had a bad experience visiting the Gabriel Archer Tavern. Food, wine and service are all excellent!
The was a warm day but we appreciated the fans as we dined outdoors under the trellis. Gemma, our server was terrific! My sister had the turkey brie sandwich and I had the meatballs as a main course. Delicious! Can't wait to return.
We've had lovely lunch experiences on the terrace. Good food, good service and a great setting.
The food at Gabriel Archer Tavern is always delicious. The chef is creative with the menu and the meal is always enjoyable. The Bourbon and Burger pairing is a hit!
