The wine and the people are the best part: The wines are amazing and arriving early to visit the tasting room is a good idea. The setting in the vinyards is beautiful and relaxing; the colonial decor is charming. the food for lunch was good, but not stellar. These days it would be great if the oysters were available steamed. We'll be back.
Nice setting and ambience but a very limited menu for dinner. The service was also out of synch. There were 4 of us and our appetizers as well as meals were not served even close to at the same time. Some of us had to wait for about 10 minutes for the full table to be served. We also ran out of water and had to ask our server to bring more.
Very accommodating. We had the last available reservation for the evening. A couple we know wanted to join us to have some wine. The staff said they could accommodate and even set place settings for them. The food was delicious and the service was very good. Highly recommend the Gabriel Archer Tavern.
