Fresh. Made to order. You won't find better anywhere else.
Beautiful Dishes, Wonderful Service, and Tasty Food
The shrimp tempura rolls were disappointing, not flavorful and very thin. They had a strange texture. The miso soup was basically just broth.

The service was great, but the menu is too vast. I found the sushi to be of the lower end of quality. Almost every piece of fish seemed room temperature and not fresh. I lived in Japan for several years and am comfortable comparing with what quality sushi should be. Prices and sales tax were incredibly high. This was a try it once and call it good sushi restaurant.

The food itself was great however we were the only people in the restaurant and it took them a very long time to bring us our food. In addition the menu didn't offer many options for nigiri or sashimi, especially sashimi which only had huge expensive combo options and nothing else, except for a la carte which isn't a good deal per piece. And the sashimi was only salmon, tuna, and tilapia. You would think for $30-$50 dollars that giant sashimi plate would have more variety.
In addition we asked for water and they forgot it, which was perfectly ok except we were trying to get their attention but they were nowhere to be found.
The menu here is ENORMOUS for sushi, I have never seen so many choices! Delicious meal from all parts of the menu across our dining party. Service was slow but I think some of it was language barrier (not complaining, just noting). We decided we would definitely come back here again.

Wonderful service. Authentic home cooked style dishes. The food was fresh and delicious. I ordered a chicken Japanese rice bowl, spicy tuna hand roll and hot green tea. It was a very delicious meal in a clean enjoyable atmosphere. Look forward to going back.

The food was good, I've never had shumai so delicate. A little bit pricier than I would like but that shouldn't stop you from trying it out.

Gold taste was amazing. We ended up leaving Haru because of their rules and came here. We got shrimp fried rice, ramen, yellow tail nigiri, and a shrimp tempura roll. Everything was fresh and good. My wife and daughter enjoyed it all.

To being such a high district area, the place look low end and this like a hood Chinese restaurant. The inside need to be spruced up and they need decoration badly. The food was good

Man this place was on point. We definitely didn't expect a whole lot as we were tired from the day at Busch Gardens and just wanted a bite to eat. Everything was amazing. The soups, the fried rice and the dishes were all good.

Friendly staff and fresh sushi! Signature diet roll was good, ginger was extremely gingery (didn’t finish it all because it was so strong) and egg drop soup was warming (but not the best / most flavorful one I’ve had)

Best sushi I've had in all of Virginia for the 10 years I've lived here. I love sushi, have been to Japan, and this tastes as good as what I had overseas. It's SO fresh! It takes them a little longer than other places to prepare but it's 100% worth it and the wait attests to the freshness!
The owners are also so friendly, they remember us and have gotten to know us over the years, they're so sweet it makes me look forward to go every time.
