Stick to the great Italian espresso by Illy.. but stay away from cappuccino! If you want to serve a good one you need to train your barista on properly steaming and pouring the right amount of milk. What I got was a big boiling soup.
Visited Merchant Square on a very hot day in July and though we'd stop by for some gelato and air condition. Enjoyed the quaint atmosphere and the varying choices of gelato available. All the flavors we got were very good and cooled us down as needed. Also ended up getting a frappe and one of the bakery items. Terrific experience at this Illy location. Perfect place for a coffee break while shopping in Merchant square. We ordered the affogato (since it was so hot outside!), that is an espresso plus ice cream and both of ours were fantastic. Plenty of seating. There were pastries but we didn’t have them this time. Will get an espresso next visit!
