We eat at La Terraza often. The food is consistently good and the portions are very generous. All at a good price. The service normally is good. The noise level at the Monticello Avenue location is pretty high when crowded because the acoustics aren't that great. The acousticts at the Richmond Road location are better for noise. We haven't been to the La Terraza on Route 60.
Real Tex Mex if you like that style of below-the-border grub. Big menu, huge portions but rather mediocre in prep. We prefer Baja-style Mexican cuisine. Been a couple of times now. Tried the chimichanga, the beef fajita and grilled Octopus of all things. The chimichanga was tasteless, the beef fajita overcooked and dry and the Octopus was so tough that it could have been made into tire retreads to last a lifetime.

Okay, so 5 stars across the board is rare ... but this restaurant earned it hands down. Simply put, the best Mexican restaurant we've ever enjoyed. Truly! The pollo loco was OUTSTANDING. Bursting with flavor, tender, perfectly cooked. Three different kids meals, and each one was generously portioned and so tasty. The rice, oh my gracious! Flavor filled, moist!
