Rocco's has fantastic brisket for which they are best known, but what's really fantastic is the hometown attitude and caring of the staff - especially when you consider you are in one of the busiest tourist towns, that also happens to be a prestigious college town, @William & Mary. Rocco's gets busy by the bus load, literally! But the entire crew are patient and jovial for your entire dining experience

Everything was great, in fact we are going back next week. The cheese fries are meh.... could use fresh made ranch dressing instead of the bottled kind to improve it a ton.

We ate here on 4/20 and I rarely give places a 5 star rating, but this place deserves it. Originally, our server, Quinn, sat us on a high top but we moved because the table was leaning over when we put our arms on it. We moved to the bar and there was an elderly man who was the bartender and he started talking to us and making us laugh a lot. He also helped us by giving us napkins even though Quinn was our server and kept making us laugh. Quinn checked on us even while we were at the bar and the both of them were like tom and Jerry in a hilarious way. We had a lot of laughs. The food was the best. The hot and spicy sauce wasn't really spicy but it was very good. The potato salad was on point. I gave gordan ramsay 4 stars because our food was good, but they took forever with our food and our time at hells kitchen wasn't as memorable and fun as this restaurant. Our food came out quick and was DELICIOUS. Ive had brisket from many other places and most of the time, it tastes like a soft steak, but the brisket here has FLAVOR, you can taste that the brisket here is smoked... this is the best brisket I've had even though it was somewhat thin. THE CORNBREAD HERE THOUGH. You're gonna think that this cornbread was made in the garden of Eden. It was nice and warm, soft and downright delicious. I wish we lived here so we could come back on a weekly basis. I recommend sitting at the bar if you want a good conversation. Glad we came here instead of the other bbq spots. I will be sure to eat here again if I come back to williamsbrugh.

Food was ok. Not something I would brag about. Me and my family left hungry. Waiter (Gray M) was very nasty and rude. Waiter put her hand to her chest and took a deep sigh in front of us when we asked to send something back. She then asked, “what’s wrong with it” very annoyed. Since when was it a problem to send items back that we didn’t enjoy? Asked for the manager and apparently she and the cook were the only ones there. We will most definitely not come back to this place solely because of her attitude. Not a nice way to visit Williamsburg.

Good BBQ and decent sized portions. Pricing was great for the sandwiches, but a little pricey on the entrees. Recommend it.

I have very mixed thoughts about this place. I ate here for lunch on Thursday the 11th. When we entered no one greeted us at the door so we were confused on what to do so we walked over to the bar and took a seat. We realized that there was only one other couple in the restaurant at that time and they were also at the bar. The waitress Nikki seemed a little confused as we were asking about the menu and seemed annoyed when we told her that we were just going to order beers and appetizers. The owner came out and set at the bar just a couple of seats away from us and was conducting business on his phone had it on speaker phone so anyone around could hear both sides of his conversation. I thought that was a little rude. The food was not too bad but that wasn't my issue. After we got the bill and paid and left we checked our bank account a few days later and I guess Nikki our waitress wasn't happy with the tip that we left so she or someone at the restaurant changed it. How does the owner allow someone to change tips to stay employed? If she has done this to me how many other people has she done this to? It will be my last time there and I advise anyone going there if Nikki is your waitress give cash tip and don't leave it on your card because I'm sure she will change it to what she wants.

While visiting Great Wolf Lodge, we decided to try Rocco’s. Our experience was exactly as Kathy described. Cornbread muffins were yummy and the rest was barely edible. Only other positive was the food came quick but I am now guessing that a microwave was the main source of “cooking” for our dinner. My husband had the brisket and he said it was a 5/10. My son’s hot dog came on an overly stale heated up hot dog bun. The hot dog was overcooked. That seemed to be the theme of the meal. My other son’s chicken fingers were dry and overcooked. He ate a half of one of the three fingers. My ribs were truly the worst ribs I have ever had in a restaurant. And this was after the server steered me to them and away from the crab cakes. What a mistake. Dry, tough, minimal meat, jerky like. Imagine all the descriptors that you never want for your ribs let alone any smoked meats. The server actually suggested I drench them in their sauce. To be fair, she did come and ask how everything was. Although it didn’t seem very genuine. The overly sweet, “have a fantastic evening” when delivering the check seemed out of character when compared to the interactions the rest of the meal. What?!?? Save your $50 and go elsewhere. I did ask one of the servers on our way out fif that is normally how their ribs come. At first she feigned surprise, said they had been smoking all day long. When I told her they were horrifically dry, she said she would let them know. Ok??? Not sure how that would solve anyone’s problem.

The first time we came to Rocco’s w loved it( a few years ago). This time we get there and they are seating everyone in the small area on the side of the dining room. Which is already cramped. They eventually sat others in the larger area once the side had no more tables left. People want to be comfortable when they eat. The service : our server walked by us twice and said nothing going to her other tables and never even acknowledged we were there. I mean we were in that small area. Just turn around say “ I’ll be right with you. Eventually she came over to us.Now the Food: not sure what had happened. Corn muffins are amazing but that is where it kinda ends. The meat is so dry you have to bathe it in sauce to make it edible. When I cut my ribs apart they shredded like roast beef ( way over cooked). As was the pulled pork. It’s sad when the quality of what was amazing food has turned into this.

The food was absolutely delicious. This was the most tender, juicy briquette I've ever had. The fried cat fish was AMAZING. The mashed potatoes and cornbread was delicious. Even the coleslaw was really good. Our server Jen took great care of us. ?
