Heading home from a wonderful Virginia Beach vacation and we were looking for a breakfast spot. I'm so glad we stopped here. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server came promptly and took our drink order then returned to take our food order. The food was delicious and service was great. This is a nice family owned business. Your bill will be a bit cheaper if you use cash. I highly recommend stopping here for an awesome breakfast!
We were welcomed as soon as we came in, and sat immediately. The chicken tenders and waffles were delicious! I always wanted to try shrimp and grits (can't find them in NJ) and they were better than I expected. The biscuits and sausage gravy were spot on, and my husband was even able to get scrapple. If you want good food at a good price, this is the place to eat. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
I had the special which was croaker, grits and a biscuit and my entire family all had different meals. We enjoyed it and regretted eating it only because of the long drive back home afterwards. The staff and even the frequent customers were incredibly kind. Mr. Nice was also there and provided wonderful conversation. I was also recommended to go to Corey's chicken shack of the same Owner which I will on my return to Williamsburg.
