The room is much smaller than what they used to have dedicated to this service. Therefore the tables are closer together. On the day we were there. We were sadly underwhelmed with the quality of the food which came out of the restaurant's kitchen. The entree's were somewhat bland and not served hot as we would expect from such a highly rated and historic venue. The service was impeccable, attentive but unobtrusive. The restaurant itself is quite beautiful; stately, quiet, tables well spaced to allow privacy for guests. Very loud table of nine destroyed the atmosphere. They should have been ushered to a private room or asked to be civil. Bill was very confusing. I was required to pay in advance. The menu at the table had a different fixed price. Then the bill I was asked to verify had yet a different price than I had pre-paid or that was noted on the menu.
