If you're looking for a good, no-nonsense spot to eat near Williamsburg—especially with kids in tow—The Huntsman’s Grill is worth keeping on your radar. The first thing you notice walking in is the setup. It’s built out like a full-on hunting lodge with dark wood and taxidermy on the walls, which gives the place some actual local character compared to the usual highway chains. The staff is attentive right away and keeps things moving quickly, making a huge difference...
The food was delicious. My husband had the game sausage trio of rabbit, duck, and pheasant sausage. He raved about it all weekend. We tried to go back for dinner the next night but they close early. The atmosphere would have been better but there was a large family with squealing kids running around disturbing everyone.
The Huntsman has great service, amazing food. Game meat. We had the trio sausage, gravy, grits and broccoli. Had a colossal salad and clam chowder. All great portions.
One of the best meals we've had out in a long time.
