Made my first visit to this sushi bar in the walking mall of downtown Winchester. You can find it next to the splash pad across from the church. It's a cozy little place with a small outdoor seating area. I sat inside so I could catch the ending of a World Cup game conveniently on the television in the dining room.
I ordered an uncooked sushi roll called Treasure Island. It claimed to be a customer favorite and I now know why. There is tuna and avocado, of course....

Used to be our favorite restaurant in Winchester before reopening under new management. Now it will be our favorite sushi (only) restaurant, as the same great sushi chef was behind the counter still. Everything else left a lot of room for improvement…

I live in NOVA but work in Winchester. I LOVE Awahbi. I would dine here everyday if I could. Sushi is delicious but I also love their Korean offerings. Awahbi has the best bibimbap. They cut the vegetables just the way I like them. Awahbi roll is my favorite. I love their fish to rice ratio. Most Sushi restaurants tend to put way too much rice in their rolls. I eat here at least once a week if not twice. A MUST TRY in Winchester, VA!
