We stopped in for a late lunch to go. Ordered the Hungry for History southern platter. Great price. So, so good, every bit of it! 3 generations of the family agreed! Super friendy staff, clean and orderly eating areas inside and outside. Quick service.
I was there before and thought it was wonderful. Was in the area again and stopped and it really lost its appeal. I had the 3 meat platter with chicken, pork bbq and brisket. It kinda lacked taste. Just wasn't what I remembered or expected out of smoked meats. Maybe it was just an off day.
Our first visit here and we will be back! The food was extremely well prepared and generous portions. My wife had a ribeye steak and I had the Cuban sandwich, one of my favorites and difficult to find a great version. We were not disappointed at all.
Quaint outdoor seating in a pleasant environment with a little street noise mixed in.
Dalton and his wife, along with the other staff were very personable and took time to get to know us some.
