Best country food EVER! Steve is awesome and it's true you might walk in a stranger but when you leave you'll have new friends!! Every one there is so friendly and happy. It rubs off . I got to meet Steve's sweet little dogs that are painted on the mural outside!! They really treat you like family!! I love going there

Great soul food! Awesome staff! They even have live music on certain nights of the week. Small, homey feel. Have recommended it to my friends!

Just had a great evening with our long-time friends Larry and Linda; both wives have just had birthdays and we went to Stephens Restaurant and Jazz Cafe to celebrate. What a good time!! The place is at 440 N. Kent St with parking on site. Good food, simply prepared-- I had the chicken & waffles but I'm going back for the shrimp scampi! The place has been lovingly restored by Stephen and the whole restaurant is spotless. Great dinner music and soft jazz by pianist Dennis Donaldson-- I told Dennis I enjoyed his music more than some piano concerts I've heard in the city!! We got a tour of the upstairs with Larry; there are beautifully restored rooms for overnight musicians and also a nice comfy lounge area suitable for small meetings.

My first time here and I am in love! Cozy environment and lovely seating. The jumbo chicken wings was the best thing I have eaten in a long time!!! If you are a lover of jazz then this is the place for you!

I've known Steve for many years. I met him 30 years ago as a client in my insurance business. I've known his family as well. Steve is a great people person and personally greets customers and makes sure you get the best of service. The food is fantastic and the service great. All of the wait staff and his manager Sam are great. Great music as well. This is truly one of Winchesters best kept secrets. Spread the word. Great job Steve.

Very cool new jazz restaurant and cafe with a decent variety of sandwiches, wings and Greek pita sandwiches! The bar has a good selection of liquors, beers and wines. There is also some fantastic live jazz music on the weekends, I have played there once myself.
