Owners retired, was great service and good food.

It was a wonderful time coming to have sushi made fresh and with love by Bento Mama. The food was delicious — nothing was left on the plate.

It's sad that it must all come to a close, but it was a wonderful experience. She brought smiles to so many customers.

Today was my first time coming to this restaurant as recommended by a friend. It is also close to the owner’s last day of service. The food was delicious, but what truly makes this place special is the hospitality and fun personality of Bento Mom, the owner. She is super sweet and had many jokes to tell. She taught us how to fold our chopstick holders and greeted us with a hug at the door.

After 20 incredible years, it’s time to say farewell to one of the most beloved hidden gems in our community — Bento Cafe Sushi & Roll. Run with heart, soul, and unmatched dedication by a husband-and-wife team, this cozy little spot has been so much more than just a restaurant. It’s been a second home for so many of us.
Every meal here felt like it was prepared with love. From the perfectly crafted sushi rolls to the comforting bento boxes, every dish reflected the care and pride this couple put into their work. But more than the food, it was them — the warm greetings, the genuine conversations, the quiet consistency — that made Bento Cafe so special.
Over the years, countless customers became regulars, not just for the food, but for the feeling of being welcomed like family. Whether you were grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for a slow dinner, there was always a sense of peace and familiarity here — something truly rare and deeply appreciated.
As the owners prepare to return to Korea and begin a new chapter, we want to say thank you. Thank you for two decades of unforgettable meals, kindness, and hard work. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your legacy will live on in the memories of everyone who had the joy of dining at Bento Cafe.

When I first stepped foot in Bento Sushi & Roll 16 years ago I was introduced to Mama Bento, and her unique hands on approach.

She taught me how to use chopsticks, to chew my food, and genuinely cared about not only about my experience but about me.

I’m so proud of their 20 years of incredible service. When I ordered tonight, I wished that we as a community could have come together and keep them here forever, but that could just be me being selfish.

What I do know is both Mama and Papa Bento built a legacy of impeccable food and personal service. This is truly the end of an era.

Truly, thank you both for the many years of delicious dining, and I hope the next chapter is one of much earned rest and relaxation.

I have been going here since 2018 and have had many memories here with Bento mom and dad that I will always cherish. The food is delicious and atmosphere is amazing. I’m sad to see it go soon but I wish them the best of luck.

We ADORE Bento Mama. The food, people and atmosphere are irreplaceable. Thank you for the laughs, delicious Sushi and dumplings, and teaching us so many things! We will always fold our paper, hold our chopsticks properly, and dip our sushi correctly because of you!

The best Mom and Dad

We got dumplings and the salmon plate, with a can of beer and a bottle of water for 65$.
(No free water)
Dumplings were good but they were really small. The salmon it self was very good not fishy at all, but I did not care for the sushi rice, mushy.

Be sides this if you an extrovert, this can be a good place to eat.
But If you an introvert like me
- beware- momma Bento is all in your face. Nice lady but we did not had our table for ourself. Momma Bento snatched my chopsticks out of my hands and walked off with it pointed here and there, then she came back, scooped my sushi and stuffed it in my mouth. I almost threw up but was trying to be respectful and kept it together.
My husband was creeped out from the start, so he decided just to order a drink, so she forced 2 salmon rolls into his throat. And he does not like raw fish at all I felt so bad for my husband. But she did not want to accept a no.
While she kept talking she was rubbing his ears. The situation was so uncomfortable that I rushed the rest of my sushi and basically
Got out there in 20min.
I never felt so bad before for picking a restaurant. I also feel so bad to leave a review like this but this is just not right. You cannot just forced feed people you don’t know. But don’t get me wrong momma Bento is a nice and lovely lady, maybe it’s a culture thing, but This just gave me anxiety.

From start to finish Bento Mama delivers and provides an amazing experience. Everything is fresh and made to order. I got this veggie roll to go along with her famous vegetable dumplings. However, the dumplings disappeared before I even left the parking lot ha. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Beautiful food and service!! Very informative owner showed us the proper etiquette for eating super yummy sushi and of course everything is made in house and to order. Make sure you stop by before they close at the end of September <\3.

everything is so yummy! homemade everything, even the rice tastes good. super friendly personal service and showed us how to set up the roll for a good bite. had the dumplings and #5 on their menu!!
