Ms Dee's Kenkey House

When I visited, there were only two fish heads left which I didn’t want. I asked for just kenkey thinking that it’ll come with pepper sauce but it didn’t. When I asked about the pepper sauce I was told that only customers who buy fish get the pepper sauce. I was surprised by that answer especially since there really were no options for fish.

I think there should be an option for customers to purchase just kenkey and pepper especially when there’s no fish. Even if the pepper sauce is at a low cost, I think it’d be beneficial for the business.

THE BEST AFRICAN RESTAURANT EVER IN VIRGINIA and the entire DC/MD area in my opinion. I am not from Ghana but as an African, her food gives you that West African food taste! Her Okro soup is my favorite. Her Banku taste just like Fufu from Naija and Cameroon, so you get that good taste of “eba and Fufu” . She’s just the best! She gives enough food for your moneys worth! She’s very friendly , clean and good vibe. I eat here weekly and I am looking forward trying all her meals. But , okro soup and Banku is my Favorite!

We got 1 Kenkey and waakye and the lady serving us was just search through the food ,for a smaller meat ,I mean the food is good but the price is very overpriced and I usually get a decent amount of waakye when I go there (I am a frequently visited customer) but today the lady gave me half the food I always get for the full price , not very happy with how the service was , I think they should do something about that.because they can lose customers because of these issues

Bought one piece of fried fish and was charged close to 20.00. Over priced! I know this fish is not more than 2.00 per pound.

loveee this place. i’m here at least twice a month best authentic ghanaian food in the city. Ms. Dee is such a lovely woman also!

The friendliest, warmest person you can ever meet. Miss Dee will make you feel at home with her warm service and awesome Kenkey. Her Kenkey projects her love and warmth. Possibly the best Kenkey in the DMV, and she can back that fact with her patrons who come from as far as North Carolina and New York. The Shito is fire...and her generous portions of fried fish will make your meal worth every bite. If you want Kenkey... there's only one place to go in the DMV...Ms Dee's Kenkey House. Highly recommended.
