Grabbed some crabs today and decided to leave a review after going there for years. Oddly enough, someone else left one today. Let me say this. Only idiots think they’re going to get jumbo crabs the beginning of the crab season for such a low price. The owners and their team are very knowledgeable and measure each crab prior to selling them. Every time I go, the mom and her sister are out back with a tool separating them one by one. I even joke with them they should let them...
I'm the type of person who tells it like it is, no cut cards. I have been coming to Vernans and Steve's for a while. And let me tell you their crabs are always good and delicious. Depending on when you come the crab sizes vary of course. But they are very honest and will tell the types of crabs and the weight of them. If you ask , they will let you see the crabs before you buy them. The ladies and gentlemen are always very nice, friendly and welcoming. Its cute to see...
Reading the reviews, I can honestly say that those with 5 stars are correct. Family run and owned. They are honest about the crabs they have in. If you go the beginning of the season, you will have smaller crabs. You come now, they are nice and fat.
