This was OK, not great. We got a stromboli and the dough was a bit flat (as a home bread baker, guessing the issue is too little salt) and the sauce was plain tomato flavor. We got it with chicken, also super plain, onions (very few) and mushrooms (nice amount). YMMV but it just wasn't us. The dining room is very cute! No beer/wine and this is also very personal but beer and pizza just go together for me.
From my perspective, go through the week, they are fantastic....Saturday's not so good, if you get like we got Jalapeño poppers, they was not done cold in the middle, took them back, outside was hot inside barely warm, tried to get my money back but they didn't want to. So they took them. brought them back burned. If they would have just gave my money back just for the poppers, I would have not said a thing.
CJ's is a Wytheville classic!!! The food was great and the service too... even though they were super busy!!! The calzones were friggin huge!!! I was eating leftovers two days later!!! OUTSTANDING!!!
