My Wife and I dined here on our way down south and loved the restaurant. The architecture and overall ambiance is really lovely with many cute little nooks and crannies to be found in the various rooms of this rambling "cottage". The antiques store in the back is very interesting and the bar looks especially inviting. Our server, Missy, took great care of us and we really enjoyed our meal and experience. We'll be back!!!

We were really excited about this place. It’s beautiful, the gardens and gift shops were very cool to walk around. The inside atmosphere is very unique. Our server was very friendly but slow. We were sat upstairs and it took a while to get drinks. We were the only ones there in the beginning so I am not sure if that contributed to it. We waited 1/2 a hour for our food and had to ask if it was coming because we had a movie to go to. The food was lukewarm and my husbands steak was cooked well done when he ordered it rare. It really felt that we were stuck in a corner upstairs and forgotten. I enjoyed the taste of my food despite it being cold and my son was happy with his pizza and fries. We didn’t say much about the food as we were already going to be late for the movie but I would be willing to possibly try again. Also, nothing about this is 5 stars but that is what google is defaulting me to.

Solid food, varied menu. Cool historic building with interesting backstory. The decor puts you in 1776. The garden is cute and eclectic. Friendly staff.

The food was phenomenal. All of the food was made from scratch, including the fresh warm bread. Our waiter was personable and friendly.

Super cute but entirely too close together with other people. Service was slow and I was NOT into being so close to other people's conversations and coughing. Also, it was smotheringly (new word?) hot. It was a hot humid that you couldn't escape. We ended up leaving.

We really want to like it, our first visit was great in 2021, then returned 7 or 8 times since and none of the times were deserving of a good review for a variety of reasons. The issues range from the hostess' unfriendly demeanor, to being brought wrong orders, through grizzly steaks, to our visit last night where one person order the stuffed pork chop which was basically 2 slices of pork, each thinner than flimsy pancakes, with a mound of stuffing between them. As every time the problem was different, we always wrote it off as a one time issue, last night was it though, especially when we heard the table next to us also questioning how what was being served could be considered a pork chop.

Very nice restaurant. Has a lot to enjoy, the structure itself is amazing, simple but eclectic, offers the restaurant, 2 gift shops, local history, bar, gardens, gazebo, birds, rabbits, outdoor seating "in season" best to call for reservations, not a must but highly recommend. Casual attire. The bar is small but really nice with a few TVs if you just want to have a drink and catch the game. The staff was very friendly, and informative on menu items and history of the building. Staff encourage you to walk around the property. Bar drinks were very good, bread was amazing, my wife had the filet mignon with mushrooms, broccoli casserole, parsley potatoes. I ordered the NY strip with twice baked squash, and broccoli casserole, and we shared a house salad. The steaks were on point both nicely cut, and prepared perfectly, the squash and bread was really good. The salad was good , the broccoli casserole was very good but not much of it for portion size. The potatoes were just potatoes. A very nice date night out, or special occasion , or if you just want good food.will definitely return.

From our excellent waitress Jess to the delicious food and unique atmosphere we would highly recommend the Log House to anyone visiting the lovely city of Wytheville VA. The front desk attendant at the Tru by Hilton recommended this restaurant to us
