Hibachi grills can risk cross contamination of microorganisms on meeting onto vegetables if cooked in a certain sequence as the spatula can transfer. Customers often order undercooked meat. If other orders are prepared with the same spatula, a risk exists.

Another customer reported his daughter mistook a cockroach for a cricket. Another online report indicated two cockroaches were sited near or on the grill.

The people are plesant and appear to be attempting to do a good job. It is unknown if a cockroach infestation exists however fish in a dumpster would be a significant attractant. A food incinerator for waste or a dumpster located away from the building are two ideas. Cockroaches sometimes carry different parasites which can infect humans and can go untested for and unnoticed. Other risks such as salmonella exist. The cockroach problem needs to be corrected before any food or drinks are served. Every surface is a risk as roaches crawl on everything.

Any customer who sees a cockroach should report it to the health department and the restaurant. I did not see any roaches, the food and restaurant appeared clean. Yet concern exists.

Great local spot for good hibachi and sushi. Probably the best sushi I've had since leaving New York City.

The hibachi portion size is great value.

For those 21 and over, I suggest getting warm sake, especially in winter.

Staff is friendly and very accommodating.

We enjoyed our meal here so much! The clear soup was so delicious, perfect to start! Our crab Rangoon appetizerwas crispy, hot and delicious. I had steak and shrimp z my husband steak and scallops. Service was fast and our food was delicious. Portions were ample. My favorite thing was the fried rice, which was tender and NOT half vegetables as you get in most places. So good! We'll be back often.

The modest exterior belies the great food and service beyond the door. The menu offers a wide range of Japanese and Asian food. The hot green tea had a depth of flavor I've not tasted at other restaurants. Food was delivered at a good pace after we placed our order. The sushi bar was not busy while we were there. There were enough people in the restaurant to keep him busy. If you're good at using chopsticks, you will have to ask for a set.

We stumbled upon this restaurant during our trip, and it turned out to be such a lovely surprise. The interior is beautifully designed and full of character. The food was absolutely delicious, and what truly stood out was the warmth and kindness of both the owner and the staff.

They were especially friendly and welcoming to my two children, which meant a lot to us. Even though we only stayed for a short time, the experience left a lasting impression and gave us a different, more heartfelt view of the place.

If you haven't been to Tokyo then you're missing out. Every time I eat here my family and I are treated with the best service. I am never disappointed. I cant thank the staff enough for putting on their best work and skill into this restaurant. Will always be #1 in wytheville in my book.

What a great place! We lived in Japan for 3 years and it was so fun to find a place that has authentic Japanese. The decor really made me miss Japan. The sweet waitress was so kind and polite. I wish we lived in the area to go back but we were just passing through.

We were traveling through and the portions were so much food for our money all piping hot and fresh and delicious! We got a veggie Bento Box and Scallop Hibachi 10/10 recommend!

I couldn't remember if we had worse Asian food. It was at best bland, but definitely not ever going to go back. Service was ok. At first the seating wasn't good for our party, but they quickly rectified it. But that's not enough to excuse how bad the food was.
