“We were up visiting our son at Kinhaven for the weekend and were lucky enough to find this absolute gem. The minute you walk in you are treated well. We had a table outside on a beautiful evening. Our server Amy was amazing. The rolls fresh baked and perfect, you could smell the cheese. My wife ordered the Halibut special and I had the Left Bank Burger medium (perfect) and we shared the shaved Brussels Caesar Salad. All were so good and the presentation of the Caesar was beautiful, my only minor critique was that the crackers made it slightly salty. Other than that, it was an absolutely beautiful evening. We will be back again in a few weeks when we pick up our son!!”

“Visited Stemwinder in Ludlow and had a pretty solid overall experience.

I ordered a Prosecco, pasta, steak, focaccia bread, and their chocolate cake. The focaccia was really tasty, and both the pasta and steak were well-prepared and enjoyable. The chocolate cake was just okay, nothing particularly memorable.

The ambience is a bit mixed from the outside, the building feels more like a rustic, slightly worn-down hut, while the inside has more of a tavern-style vibe rather than a true fine dining atmosphere. That said, the prices lean more toward the fine dining side, which felt a little mismatched with the setting.

Service was okay overall friendly, but nothing standout. It has more of a relaxed, old-school feel, and you’ll notice a slightly older crowd both dining and working there, which adds to the laid-back vibe.

Overall, good food and a decent experience, but just be aware of the pricing versus ambience. I’d recommend it especially for visitors in Ludlow who are looking for a quieter, more relaxed dinner spot.”

“Had one of the most enjoyable meals ever. Farm fresh, imaginative food and libation. The jubilee was the best cocktail I have had in my entire life. Corn soup with lobster was sweet and succulent. Entrees full of flavor .. The wine pouring complemented each courser perfectly. And the service was perfection… Warm and welcoming. Made to feel like old friends. Can’t wait to go back.”

“Just passing through on a Tuesday afternoon and so glad I stopped in Ludlow what a great little town. My friend and I split a veggie caprese Panini, smart choice because it was pretty big! Hands down the BEST Panini either one of us has EVER had. Perfectly crispy bread and warm middle not overloaded with cheese or salt. Matcha and chai latte was good too and friendly service.”

“tried Ludlow Village Pizza for the first time today. both the food and service were excellent. called in a takeout order for 3 large pizzas, they were ready in 20 minutes. all 3 pizzas were cooked to perfection. fresh ingredients and absolutely delicious 😋 the baklava was fantastic too.”

“We decided to give this place a try and boy oh boy, did we score!? We did not reserve a table, and it was crowded when we arrived. Magical Madison made the difference for us, she had us seated in a prime spot in half an hour. She was personable, warm and completely efficient. She runs the desk with such grace and ease. I hope she is being paid well.
Our server, Kaiya, was amazing! She knew about the foods and the specials and she made great suggestions as well. Her service was excellent! We had the pork osso buco — delish! The burger, which was done to my specifications and delivered quickly, grilled pork with green beans, grilled pork medallions- so tender and seasoned right! The ceasar salad was crisp and fresh, our appetizers were all phenomenal from the chicken wings to the dumplings to the bread for the table, all tasty and eye-rolling good! Desserts were delicious and our drinks were spot-on! What an experience! If you want to sit in a clean, elegant place for high quality food, this is the place! Tired of burgers , pizzas and fries?! This is the place ! We plan to return.”
