this place has the best fish and chips in the area. Heck, I come to Bennington from the Capitol District in New York because I can’t find fish and chips is good. The only place you’re gonna find fish and chips. This good is if you are within 30 miles of the seashore and then it’s gonna be hit or miss. They pieces of fish they use are thick and wonderful wonderful and they put a bat on that completely in cases to fish steaming it inside the breading, which is exactly how a good fish and chip should be done. I’ve been coming here for a long time since they opened and I’ve never been disappointed. Try the curry sauce it’s amazing.

Awful, it was not authentic fish n chips, the fish had no batter and the chips were just terrible. Never going back.

Fish and Chips are very good. This is a small portion of the fries I got. The on-line menu prices are not up-to-date.

Decided to visit after reading all of the great reviews, so made a trip to Bennington especially for fish & chips.
We were excited to try the authentic British chips and they were good, but not great. The mushy peas were OK but the fish was disappointing.

Fish sandwich is excellent, chips and smashed peas need a little salt but everything is very good.

This place is owned by an English couple so the fish and chips are the real deal- ABSOLUTELY some of the best I ever had!!! I love peas and I wasn’t sure about the mushy peas as a side but they were surprisingly DELICIOUS! The food, customer service and price were worth the stop. We were able to dine in and the decor definitely fits their theme.

If you want fish and chips this is your place. Great fried fish , chips are wonderful. Burgers are available for your non-seafood eating friends. Small eating area but I have always found seating.

We have eaten here multiple times. Fish and chips. Always cooked to order. Battered perfectly. Love the pickled beets as a side dish!

I've had alot of fish and chips over the years. Lil' Britain was hands down the best! Fish was fresh, batter was light and crispy and not too salty. Sides were simple and delicious. You can tell they take pride in their product. Truly a hidden gem! We'll be back!

No frills - fish and chips. Everything was fantastic. I’m glad I finally discovered this little spot! Surprisingly, the place was largely empty when I stopped.
