I am sorry to have to write this review, but it should benefit future patrons. I read a review from one month ago saying that they spent most of their dining time by swatting flies off their food. My wife and I thought it may have been a one time occurrence so, we decided to give it a chance because the last time we were there we had no issues and enjoyed the food. We dined outside and to our dismay, the flies were a problem. Very disappointing! Their food is above average. If there is a next time, we will dine inside. The management knew of the issue but offered no solution.

This is such a hidden treasure, food is excellent, waitstaff and host Karen are wonderful people. I would highly recommend!

We were in town for a family reunion and after reading reviews and considering the food requirements of our party we settled on Bella Notte as our restaurant choice. I called to let them know we'd be coming in and our table was ready and set when we arrived. There had been a tournament on the golf course that ended shortly before we got there so several parties were seated in the outdoor area. While the view was beautiful I was glad we sat inside in the dining room. It was simply decorated which allowed the surrounding greenery visible through tall windows to be the focal point. The building is quite old (1850-ish?) with a historical feel (I spotted shaker cabinetry upstairs). The food was delicious. We ordered garlic bread with cheese, shrimp cocktail, chicken piccata, chicken francaise, spaghetti with tomato and pesto, a burger, and chicken parmigiana. For the picky children they made a special order of bread coated with olive oil and spices, and buttered penne. They don't have a kids menu but were completely accommodating when we reasonable requests. The service was so good we even stayed for dessert! We ordered lemon cake, tiramisu, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate mousse. There's a ramp making it handicap accessible. Lots of parking for cars (& golf carts!). Come eat here! You will be happy you did.

This restaurant is filled with flies. It was hard to enjoy the food because we were constantly swatting away flies from our table. We killed about 10 of them during our short time there.

Outstanding hidden gem restaurant. Service was very attentive and food was even better. Stuffed mushrooms were a great way to start the dinner. Great cocktails/wine list and the entrees were top notch. I got the standard spaghetti and meatballs and it was some of the best I've had. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Went here late one night while my husband and I were in town for our "mini" honeymoon. While located on a golf course, it is open to the public. The waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about what was on the menu. She wasn't too overbearing but also checked in enough to make us feel like she cared. Food was delicious and came out pretty quick. I got the gnocchi with a cream sauce, spinach (I think) and something else in it I cant remember. I forget what my husband got but he really enjoyed his food. We got tiramisu for dessert and it was just as good. Overall, if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back.

My wife and I recently just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary I was looking for a place different from the usual hangouts and shindigs that we would go to. Then a friend told me about Bella Notre... I thought he was crazy at first because I thought the restaurant has been closed for years. Come to find out it was a different restaurant with the same name and same owner as the one we had gotten married in years ago just a different location. Me and my wife went out to dinner on our anniversary and was pleasantly suprised it's by the quaint restaurant and good food. I had ordered spaghetti and meatballs and my wife usually gets something with chicken in it. The food was really good so where the drinks. We will definitely come back again.

One of our new favorite restaurants in town. Brattleboro doesn't have much to offer in the way of great restaurants so this hidden gem is a great find. Each time we've eaten here the food has been impeccable. The only thing not going for it is the lack of staff so you'll have to wait a while more during your visit. That being said, the staff are hard working and always pleasant and friendly. Hopefully they will have more staff next season. Great atmosphere and people.

Good service. Food was not good. Not seasoned well and not prepared well. I would simplify the menu and get a new chef. The location is beautiful. Restaurant also needs a better wine selection. Definitely has potential.

My husband and I are so happy to have found this restaurant! The food is amazing and the view from the back deck is spectacular! It's reasonably priced for the quality of food.

We did takeout one evening and enjoyed it overall. The eggplant parmigiana and spaghetti and meatballs were very flavorful and the portions were quite large for the price. The salad dressing and bread were a bit lackluster in my view, but the main dishes were good enough that I would pick up again.

We came upon this place coming home from Brattleboro - and let me tell you we found a real gem! We came close to closing and they cheerfully welcomed us to stay. Our waitress Karen was STELLAR! Without having to ask she recommended us the best items on the menu. Stuffed mushrooms and spiedini were delicious apps. The scallops and shrimp penne vodka meal was superb! Definitely recommend and if you are lucky you will get Karen!!!

Thought the food was decent. Very surprised to find out the entrees didn't come with pasta. First time I'd ever encountered THAT at an Italian restaurant. Haven't had the urge to rush back.

This Italian restaurant and bar is a hidden gem! Located at the Brattleboro Country Club on the outskirts of town, Bella Notte (open to the public) serves up homemade Italian American cuisine at very fair prices. The restaurant is in an old house which has a spacious dining room and a separate bar/lounge in the adjacent room. The place is open for lunch and dinner, but only open Thursday to Saturday 11am-9pm during the winter off season. The lunch menu offers sandwiches, black angus burgers, wraps, subs, salads, soups, appetizers, pasta dishes, and desserts. Most lunch prices $8.99-$13.99 range. The dinner menu offerings include appetizers, salads, soups, wraps, pasta dishes, Italian entrees (chicken & veal), seafood, and desserts (tiramisu, cakes, cheesecake, ice cream). Pasta & Italian entrees for lunch come with bread & butter and for dinner come with salad and bread & butter. Most dinner prices $10.99 to $26.99 range. I was here recently for lunch when the place wasn't too busy. I sat myself at a table in the main dining room, just outside of the bar in the next room. The bartender also served my table and gave me a menu and made recommendations too. I was given fresh baked knots, lightly and buttery with grated parmesan cheese. I started out with French Onion Soup ($5.99) which was homemade soup served piping hot, which had plenty of onions and croutons in the not salty broth, topped with melted mozzarella cheese, served in a crock. For the entrée, the Penne ala Vodka ($10.99) was a good portion of al dente cooked penne smothered in a hearty vodka sauce with cheese, sundried tomatoes and asparagus. This dish had good flavors, slightly spicy with the added red pepper flakes. I finish my lunch barely, but since I had enough food for lunch, I had to pass up the offer for dessert. Overall, the food was excellent and fresh. The service here was good and the food arrived to my table in good time, hot and fresh. The bartender Karen addresses her customers by name too! I really should return here for dinner in the not so distant future.

Food was pretty good, but I was surprised to find out that chicken/veal dishes don’t come with pasta. Portions were a little on the small side. (Especially since there was no pasta on the side)
