Been here a handful of times when I’m Brattleboro. The grinder (I’m in New England, right?) aren’t phenomenal but they’re kinda great. I’ve settled on the very tasty Italian sub but I’m sure there are some really good hot ones w melted cheese. Tons of great add ons. I invented a pro tip that really worked for me: – ask the nice counterman to slice it into three and wrap them separately. It’s a big sandwich.
Nice people. A year or so ago there was a big washout or some such and they were donating (or perhaps they were paid for this) hundreds of sandwiches to the road crew that was cleaning up the mess
In the fridge you can grab a container of their American chop Suey or beans with salt back to heat up at home. Far from haute cuisine but pretty awesome. Overall a fine old school stop.

A few time a year we pass through this area on our way to Wilmington. We had to stop this time and try the “World Famous” grinders. We had an Italian combination grinder, and it was good. We now have yet another good place where we can stop in and eat. Thank you for reading and enjoy.
Parking: Small lot to the right, but people part on the street. I can see at lunch it being busy, but that we would not know. Enjoy.

Have always gone here for creemies this year they almost doubled in price which I understand everything is expensive, but last month they decided to downgrade the cup size to a tiny baby cup for the same $6. How are you gonna make the prices higher but make the ice cream wayy smaller. So sad because I was going daily but will no longer until they fix the dish size back.

Made my creamie hollow so it fell over almost immediately. Only some of the staff know how to pour one so it is hit or miss.

Gougers has always been the go-to place for the best grinders in town HOWEVER, we stopped there this evening to get a tuna grinder with lettuce, tomato, onion and green pepper. Firstly the checkout price with a small bag of harvest chips was $18.00......upon opening the grinder we were extremely dismayed when we got home.....there was soooo little lettuce it was almost unrecognizable in the tuna and there were like maybe 2 single slices each of onion and green pepper. Most disappointing for the $18.00 tab.
