The Oyster Bar at Peter Havens

Went in for a late afternoon bite- got the lobster rolls. Will was our server // bartender and server up some delicious cocktails and was super nice. Thanks for making our day in Brattleboro so special!

The oyster bar at Peter Havens is such a great spot in Brattleboro. They offer a good selection of fresh oysters and cold seafood along with tinned fish. Really good cocktails and draft beer poured by a skilled and friendly bartender. We love walking to downtown and having drinks and some shrimp cocktail and a dozen oysters. The Ahi Tuna and the Lobster rolls are great too!

Not only an amazing small selection of the perfect delicacies for sitting at a high-end bar table or standing at one of a small number of tall circular bar tables (there may also be tall chairs), including oysters, but the gentleman who runs the place is outstanding while being unobtrusive.

High-end food with no reservation required for a quick (or leisurely) dinner. No need to eat at the restaurant adjoining; this little place is enough on its own, if you wish.

The food is always exceptional. Great beer and cocktail choices, and Will is the absolute best bartender. Never a disappointment here, and very fair prices. Well worth the 60 mile drive !!

Stopped in last week on a whim. My husband and I ate a bunch of small plates and oysters for dinner. We had some amazing cocktails too! All of the seafood was fresh and delicious. The bartender was super kind.

Both the drink and food options were superb. My scallops were amazing and our tuna tartare appetizer was one of the best I’ve had outside of Hawaii. Highly recommend (very expensive)

We had dinner at Peter Havens for Valentines Day, our first time. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We sat at the bar and enjoyed perfect drinks made by Grace. Dinner was delicious and beautifully served. Swordfish for me and Strip steak for my husband. Yum! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the service. We will be back!

We dined at Peter Havens. It was delicious and the vibe was very nice. Service was impeccable and we would dine here again if in the area.

Exceptional meal, one of our best ever. We ate swordfish with risotto and asparagus, tagliatelle, and rack of lamb. Very well prepared, exceptionally tasty. Very good service. Attractive setting in central downtown.
