We’ve been traveling through Boston, NH and Vermont for the last week. This has been the best food we’ve had on the trip so far hands down. Spicy margarita was actually spicy. The tavern burger is a 10/10. Nachos with chicken were delicious. I don’t know that we’ll ever be back this way, but if we are we’ll stop by again.
I walked into Church Street Tavern not in the best mood—just hoping for a drink and something to eat. What I got was so much more, thanks to our waitress, Eliza. She was an absolute standout—genuinely kind, attentive, and full of positive energy. She completely turned my night around with her warmth and incredible service.
The food was also fantastic. I had the pulled pork sandwich and fish and chips—both were spot-on delicious. But honestly, Eliza made the experience. It’s rare to have service that good.
Church Street Tavern just became a must-stop spot for me whenever I’m in town. Highly recommend—ask for Eliza if you can!
Had a great time here. Wings were amazing and the service was great. Lots of fun.
Really good food and a great playlist. We had the beet and goat cheese salad and the beets were so good they’re worth noting in this review. Plenty of local beer too.
Cute little bar/ restaurant. The food and the drinks were really good and decently priced! The staff was friendly and attentive!
This is a really nice place to eat - not expensive and the food is yummy. Draft beers, too! Our bill was a little higher because we had drinks and subbed out some sides but you could get away with $20 per person - pretty good for BurlyTown.
Got the Chicken & Dumpling Soup... 5 stars!! Chicken tenders were amazing also. As was the warm friendly service on a cold night.
High prices and meh food. Sat at the bar so service was good. Has deteriorated under the new ownership. This used to be a good place to go
Good food, service isn't that good when there's only two servers

First visit to Burlington so we were trying new restaurants. Waitress was not organized, didn't ask what we wanted to drink and then when she did, forgot one, said they didn't have the ingredients to make it and then forgot to come tell me I then asked for a gingerale and she forgot that too. When the food came out it was all cold, nachos were stale and the cheese was ice cold on top. Will not return there, very disappointed.

Waited an hour and 20 minutes for a burger and a salad. Waitress was in tears repeatedly going to kitchen to ask where food was . Multiple tables seated after us getting food in timely manner . Managers solution? 25% off the bill. Food was average , there are so many option on Church St. and I will never eat here again. Will also advise friends not to eat here .

Went there yesterday. Nachos are a small portion, came out cold with cubed chicken sprinkled on top with cheese underneath. We asked if they could warm them up. The response was if we microwave them the chips will be soggy. They offered to re do them and they never came back with the order. We left there just as hungry as we came in. My son had a burger and liked it.
