Came across this in Burlington next to the lake as we were coming to get beers at Foam Brewers. Deep City is their concept restaurant in the same building, with a bigger food menu. It has some pretty impressive things. A lot of it's meaty but not all of it. There's plenty of plant based choices that replicate the meaty stuff. After seeing this place open we changed plans and went here instead. It's a fancier looking place than the brewery next to it. The prices unfortunately reflect this. It's about $16 for typical items. They got rid of the half portions they had, and now only have the bigger more expensive ones. Boo. There's plenty of plant based options including the Vegan Poutine. Looks a lot like the real item. This instead has cashew squash queso and maitake mushrooms. Good but expensive. This is the only big issue. For sure the food is good. It's just pricy, and they now only have the big portions. These may cost too much, but the good thing is there's plenty to get for vegans and vegetarians.

My biggest regret was never telling the world that Deep City usurped the title of best cheeseburger in town with their "kids" burger. I love Foam's approach to brewing and will genuinely miss Deep City. The food can only be described as gourmet and the staff was always accommodating. You will be missed!!

This place was great! Nicole was a great server and made us feel at home on our vacation. Amazing bbq food and the cauliflower was really good. It’s right next door to foam brewing so you can get their beers on tap too.

One of the best burgers we have ever eaten! Great service too. It was a crowded night but we sat at the bar and were entertained by the staff.

I hadn't been to Deep City since their soft launch years ago. The experience then wasn't great, but we gave it another shot last night and it couldn't have been a better second chance performance. The food was stellar, the service was great, and we had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend Deep City for anyone that enjoys BBQ, good beer, Lakeside vibes, and a good time.

This is Foam breweries restaurant next door. They have a few good vegan options and are willing to make substitutions on most of their vegetarian options to make them vegan. I had the "brisket" cauliflower which was a nice flavor and the vegan mac and cheese os vey good! Definitely need a reservation

Had a great time while visiting our daughter in Burlington- highly recommend! Was nice to be able to grab a beer in the brewery side while waiting for our table- we shared all the food we got- poutine , chicken sandwiches, brisket, Mac & cheese, elote dip... we will be back for sure

Good time next to the University of Vermont. Started with the brussel and elote dip. The brussels were really good, simple and well cooked. As good as the brussles were the elote dip was better, the flavors and spice was spot on. The main courses were ok. I went with the ribs/brisket 2 meat combo with cabbage slaw and mac n cheese. The brisket was ok, some parts were perfectly cooked and others were too dry. The ribs were cooked much better with the right amount of smoke. The sides were disappointing. The mac n cheese was just not saucy enough and the noodles were undercooked. The cabbage slaw lacked flavor. The beer was very good, went with the local dork and secret pizza. Outstanding and flavorful brews. Cool and chill at atmospheres. The strive for the beer was really fast the food took quite a while to get out.

Such a great spot. My husband and I split the two meat platter. We got the pork belly and brisket along with a side of macaroni and cheese and fries. The meat was served with three different barbecue sauces: mustard, kimchi, and maple. It also was paired with pickled jalapeños, onions, and pickles. We were very impressed with the meats and sauces. Very smoky, tender and a large portion. The macaroni and cheese was decent but I felt it was a little dry. The french fries on the other hand were to die for. Also a plus that it is located right next to Foam Brewers and serves great drinks. Overall a great venue located on the water with great food.

Four of us had dinner here last night after calling in and getting a 7:15pm reservation. Our food was all tasty, and the beer selection from Foam is of course excellent. The service was particularly good, shout out to James! Our table was delayed and due to this, we were comped a free shareable item. Then due some kitchen issues, our food was pretty significantly delayed - the staff was extremely apologetic, moved us inside to a table that opened up as it was getting chilly outside, and even comped us a couple four packs from Foam due to the long wait.Great environment, good food, friendly staff, will return!

Great food and service. I picked two of the BBQ items with two sides. The pork belly and cauliflower were delicious. Good wine and beer collections. Servers are friendly and efficient. It was a great find for my short visit to Burlington, VT.

The vegan option was pricey and not at all filling. Didn't feel like it was worth the money. The vegan poutine doesn't have any gravy on it, and the "cheese" is very mustard-y

We were visiting Burlington for just a day and Deep City fit the criteria of being near our hotel, vegetarian-friendly and having outdoor seating on what was a beautiful late-summer night. We had the elote dip, pulled pork, falafel smash, mac and cheese, and fries. Everything was delicious, but as a somewhat nascent vegetarian I was especially impressed by the falafel smash. I am used to vegetarian dishes being an afterthought, but the flavors fit so well together, and the quality was so high, that it was clear that care was put into the dish. The service and ambiance were wonderful and the food was perfect - we'll be back the next time we're in town.
