The food and drinks are so fresh. Cool repurposed Diner. So glad we stopped! The Strawberry Marg was perfectly balanced between acid and sweet berry. Queso, guac, and salsa are a must.

Enjoy a historical landmark (classic dinning car). If you like classic diner car atmosphere you'll love the atmosphere here.Carnitas and Barbacoa tacos were delicious. Also enjoyed fresh made guacamole with fresh warm tortillas chips.Small waiting area, short wait at our table, friendly service and served quickly once we placed our order.Parking: We walked about two blocks to find parking

I am writing to celebrate the wonderful food and staff at El Cortijo. Take-out service has been a special treat, and the food is always fresh and delicious. I also want to give a special shout-out to Cassie, who helped me navigate an allergy component of my order with tremendous patience and kindness. (Thank you, Cassie! You're awesome!) I highly recommend El Cortijo.

Happened to be in the area and gave them another try. The food wasn't as good especially at the prices. My wife said hers had very little flavor. Mine was okay but again I had to use lots of the hot sauce to get some flavor in to it. The cheese dip had the most flavor and the chips were goof. The service was amazing this time.

This one star review is one star only so it stands out. El Cortijo food quality is good, flavor is good, but I ordered a Tocino taco($5.50), it came with two large pieces of bacon and what looked like two eggs. Days later I ordered the Tocino burrito($15) and the bacon was in maybe 5-6 bites. The first half of the burrito had no bacon. It was the same amount of eggs as the taco. So for $15 you get a bean and rice burrito with some eggs and bacon. This place is a ripoff, go someplace else.

Stopped in for a late lunch/dinner. Unique diner feel for this cuisine type. Was eating solo and the counter seating was pretty convenient. Overall good food, service and atmosphere. All VT beer on tap. Food came out quickly. Attentive staff. They have homemade salsas available of which the “Smokey Dokey” was a notable mention.
