Ken's Pizza and Pub

The food at Ken’s is decent but the staff was “meh.” Ken’s has a strict policy, “no eating ice cream cones from the shop next door,” on its patio. I get that in isolation. However, when your table of EIGHT has purchased well over $250 worth of food, it’s a bit insulting to have one of your table members told they’ll have to, “leave to eat their ice cream cone.” Yet, that’s what the server did to my 78 year-old mother. When I asked why she couldn’t sit with her family considering how much we’d spent and were still eating, the manager reinforced her “rule.” I get that it’s the restaurant’s choice to operate the way it wants to, we just won’t be back. It seemed a bit extreme to all of us, and no way to treat an older woman, who wasn’t causing any harm.

Worst place I’ve ever experienced!! Sat down ordered food and drinks … food never came and drinks were empty 15 minutes after receiving them no waitress came back drinks empty for almost 40 minutes and the food is down right awful!! Stay away from this place at all cost

Went here for lunch with family, ordered the Josh wine, waitress comes back and tells us they are out of Josh wine would you like to try the Simi brand, could I try a little taste before i order sure she says, than comes back and says no sorry, she says it’s really good so I say ok, what she didn’t tell me that ot was $16 a glass! The whole lunch was a joke! Won’t be back there again!

I ate here twice in August, like when I was a kid I still get two slices of pizza. One time I got onions and mushrooms on both slices, and the other time I got scallions and mushrooms on both slices. Both times the pizza was as good as I remember it being in the 80s and the 90s. I forgot how much I love there pizza. I personally love to eat outdoors on church street. Something that I don't do often anymore since I no longer live in Vermont. Eating there reminds me of my childhood. The waitresses are still friendly, and gave me a great experience. I hope that this great restaurant is not shut down, due to downtown loosing it's popularity, so many places have already shutdown downtown because of this. I still love downtown, despite it's flaws, and it does appear that the city of Burlington is starting to take better care of downtown.

Ok so food just okay. Expensive and can't sub fries for chips. Bought fries $8. So philly stakes and fries $22. Fries took forever and after a few bites found a hair. Asked multipule times for condiments and got half of them. Keep walking.

Caesar salad- lettuce was warm and brown, chicken raw, we had two, barely eaten
Artichoke dip- pretty sure it was previously enjoyed, should come out hot/bubbly, this was borderline warm and dip was splattered around the edge and looked like it had already been dipped into.
We feel ill leaving here after eating, waste of $80.

Ken’s never disappoints. The nachos and chicken fingers were absolutely delicious. Shoutout to Carley for making our experience so incredible. She was so bubbly and iconic. She really gave us the tiki bar experience and made us feel 21 again! She’s the life of the party.
