Small and cozy bistro leaning French but also has some Italian leaning dishes and even a vegetarian African stew. Lots of options. 5+ starts for the onion soup. My husband has tried onion soup around the country for 30 years and declared this emphatically the best he has ever had. Steak frites cooked to perfection with delicious red wine demi and crispy fries. Definitely worth a trip. I'd advise a reservation they are almost always full but also do take walk ins. Right on church street so you can do a little shopping before or after your delicious meal.
Open table needs to update. The menu you had attached to the reservation was WAY off!! Get current with items and prices. It's completely wrong. Also, Leunigs menu in-house, is different from online, including prices! Sorry, it's misleading. Other than that, food and services were excellent! Thanks.
I hadn't bee there in years and it happily hadn't changed. Lovely atmosphere, good food, great martini. Wait staff professional. Only glitch was sour puss host who sat us in very close proximity to another couple when the restaurant was almost empty. He changed our table when we requested it but his attitude was obnoxious.
The whole experience was lovely. We had an amazing server who was knowledgeable about wine. The food was really delicious and exactly what we hoped for. Super happy with our visit!
As usual, our post-concert dinner at Luenig's was delightful. Good food, beautifully served. With tables close together in the front room, the noise level was a bit high, but it didn't really impact our meal, and we met delightful people sitting next to us!
A nice night with a lovely selection of food and drinks. My only disappointment was about the deep fried risotto cakes. Did not realize they were deep fried when I ordered the dish. They do not complement an otherwise healthy meal.
Mock Escargot was fantastic --- steak and salmon frites perfect surf and turn meals for two
Took a long time to get the waitress, took a long to get the drinks, the appetizers were good. took an exceptionally long time to get the entrees and when they did arrive, they were cold, not just under a heat lamp but literally cold. We opted to leave instead of waiting longer. Had to ask the waitress to take the entrees off , then only one was taken offline. No apologies or acknowledgment they had messed up. Very disappointing. We have been here many time and never had such a bad experience Hoping it was just an off night for them.
Beautiful food and delightful warm atmosphere. Fantastic service and beautiful music playing on the music system
Great service. Always great food but there was a “ blip” on one order and it was rectified immediately, with apology and without awkwardness.

Leunig's is always a perfect restaurant with many vegetarian options (for me) which is rare AND they are creative, not the old "veggie lasagna". My favorite is the Cavatappi. My husband tried the pulled pork sandwich with cheese and red cabbage and his face lit up with his first taste. Service is always the perfect combination of friendly, knowledgeable but never hovering.
Food was fresh and delicious. Nice wine/beer list. Service was good. Great people watching. Will return!
Great experience! The food was fantastic, the wine list quite good, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. Definitely felt like we could have been eating in Paris just as easily as Burlington. We'll be back!
The Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. My Date has Food Allergies and they guided her through the menu without reservation or judgment . The Crowd was typical Vermont Chic and gregarious. Well done by all .
Leunig's is our favorite place to eat in Burlington. We have never been disappointed with a meal. Our appetizer, soups, entrees, and desserts were wonderful last night.
