Fish and chips here is delicious and huge portions. Big filet of fish, lightly battered, you couldn't beat it in many other places. Their fries are also pretty great. Had a Caesar salad as replacement too which was tasty.
The server was super chill. He gave some suggestions/advice on what food to get which was helpful.

Great place. Got the fries with curry sauce- were excellent. Curry sauce was pleasantly sweet and spiced. Fries were perfectly done, crispy and flavorful. And of course the beers on tap were great (Smithwicks the best). Service and atmosphere were great, too.

I'd love to actually try the food to give an actual review but I've been in twice now and the kitchen was closed both times. Thier hours say open til 12 am with no seperate kitchen hours, however I've been in at 9:55 and 8:45 to be told the kitchen was closed even though the food menu is still on a sign out front. Both times I've been brushed off by staff before even getting a chance to ask what time the kitchen is open until.

Rí Rá has been a Burlington staple for me over the past 20+ years. It was a great date place back when I was in college because of the ambience and atmosphere, and it remains an overall favorite of mine now coming with a family. The food is always great and filling. I don’t think I’ve ever left there feeling the need to grab something soon after. The staff has always been friendly and prompt. This is a definite go to place for me when I’m in Burlington for some good comfort food and a pint, or just for a few pints & socializing.
Kid-friendliness: They do have a good kids menu there, a not just hot dogs & fries. They also provide a kids coloring menu & activity sheet to help keep your little ones occupied.
