Smugglers Notch is the perfect expert and family and family skiing resort. I love that it is a quintessential Vermont old-school ski mountain and not full of high speed quads that clog up the trails. If you don't like standing in line and riding up 2-seater lifts, then you should go over the other side of the Notch to Stowe.

Black Bear lounge is the best. Great porch with outstanding views of the mountain and trails. Ask for Ann. Best waitress!

It's a no nonsense little lodge. A bit of a maze inside, but if you're willing to explore, you can find the bathrooms.

Nice, spacious and clean. Good view of the slopes, while eating upstairs in the cafeteria. Tried the bar downstairs, but only the young lady, who instantly brought us water, paid us any attention. The waitresses never even acknowledge us. Their loss and we had awesome service upstairs!

Warm and sunny with stunning views of mountains all around. The only ding is it's a long walk up a steep drive to the building and then stairs to the cafeteria. But once you're there, it's great.

Nice and cosy warm however the food offering was way below par. Only fast food junk on sale, absolutely zero options for vegan/non dairy and same for drinks. Disappointing considering.

I came for 3 days of skiing but there's not enough snow for all the mountain trails to open. Very disappointed. Not their fault, mother nature is in control.Parking: Plenty of parking around the mountainKid-friendliness: Plenty of kid activities

We loved heading higher to watch the skiers and snow boarders. There's a parking lot and a map, not much else but fun people watching. Just stay out of their way.

The fun zone used to be under $20 to go to for the arcade and bouncy house but in order to go to the fun zone as a Vermonter it would be $69 for me and $49 for my daughter. We only spend two hours there and leave, what happened to welcoming in locals? A daycation pass for something like the fun zone is too steep. Pease price it out again for purchase.

We've been here one day so far and it seems half closed. We followed the signs to curbside checkin and texted the number as directed. After a while nobody had responsed so I called and they said they didn't do curbside check in. Inside I checked in and was given instructions for the wifi. Back at the room we couldn't get wifi to work so we called and were told that the wifi is actually broken and they don't know when it will be back. I tried to schedule a tennis lesson and the guy working said he'd check and give me a call, never happened. Kids wanted to do the gem mining so we went at 10 when it was supposed to open but it wasn't. We wanted to grab lunch earlier and almost everything is closed including the mountainside grill and ben and jerrys. There does appear to be a pizza place that will hopefully be open later. Our 2 bedroom premium condo was very clean when we arrived. Decor is pretty dated but not quite what I'd call "run down".

Smugglers is located on beautiful vermont terrain. Family enjoyed pools, llama walk, adventure rope activity, Vermont Kayak and canoeing experience. BUT arriving at the end of June we found that the resort is understaffed and pools, restaurants etc were opened limited hours. not what we anticipated. Not what we were prepared for. The resort is a food desert and bringing three meals a day would be our recommendation. Certainly what we will do if or when we return. Restaurants on site on pretty much fast food, the country store nothing more than a convenience store. We struggled during out week to find food in the immediate vicinity of the resort. It pretty much required trips to stowe(not really what we wanted to comprise our evenings).. But would we return? Kids ages 6 and 8 certainly would say yes. And we would too. Stafff made every effort to assist in making our stay enjoyable. The resort shuttle was great. Condo was clean, washer and dryer great but could have a few more kitchen amenities. Air conditioner was a window unit and unable to cool the entire unit. Fortunately, most evenings cooled down.

The camps for kids allow parents time to themselves while providing a truly fun experience for kids. The pools are perfect and the shuttles are wonderful. They were short of staff but so is everywhere these days. The drive from Burlington airport is beautiful and visiting Stowe was wonderful.

We had a great time and the grounds were nice. We paid additional for the smuggs pass but I don't think it was worth it. We have teenagers and the teen nights were nice to give the kids something to do on their own. Overall a great time!
