I cannot say enough good things about West Meadow Farm Bakery. I’ve been a fan of their goods for a long time (as a celiac, their bagels are a gluten-free heaven I hadn’t experienced in years!!), and when my now husband and I decided we wanted to get married in Essex, I reached out to West Meadow in hopes they could make our wedding cake. They were so friendly, super communicative, and happy to work with us! We chose a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for the tiered cake and a sheet cake, as well as a brownie chocolate cake with raspberry filling and frosting sheet cake. Everyone LOVED the cake and many guests commented they forgot that it was gluten-free! In addition, I was also able to order an array of pastries for the bridal party the morning of the wedding, and they were a huge hit. West Meadow did such a beautiful job and I can’t wait to return for even more carrot cake (and maybe a couple dozen bagels, too).

West Meadow Farm Bakery has been wonderful, especially for my wife, who has food allergies that require her to eat gluten free and dairy free. We have been going to the bakery for a number of years now and the quality of their bakes has been fantastic.
We especially enjoy getting our birthday cup cakes from here. The cupcakes are fun and tasty, especially the ones that have the rainbow frosting. If you have a certain type of cake you enjoy and it is not gluten free or dairy free. They are able to or will try to come up with a way to convert your recipe into a gluten-free and/or dairy free cake.
The owner and staff are great and will be happy to discuss bread, cakes or other items they sell.

The food here is awesome! They have baked goods, bagels on Saturday morning, and also pinwheels. The bagels are the best gluten free bagels I have ever had.

We used West Meadow for some gluten free and vegan desserts for our wedding and they were amazing. The ordering process was so easy online and pick up was always a breeze. We will definitely be buying from here again in the future!

I am not exaggerating when I say the citrus poppy seed muffin I had today brought tears to my eyes. West Meadow Farm Bakery has, hands down, the best gluten free baked goods I have ever had. The absolute best part? Their loaves of bread are actually sandwich sized!!!!! I cannot wait to make French toast with the oatmeal bread, and a grilled cheese with the white bread. Many dairy free options as well!
Gluten free baking is expensive. There’s no getting around it. There are so many ingredients and components involved. This place is 100% worth the cost. I’m already spending $8 a loaf at the grocery store. I would rather pay $10 for a better quality product and support a small business. And the bread isn’t pre-sliced so I can cut it to my liking!!! I can’t wait to go back!

We ordered a custom carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for my Dad's birthday. Classic taste, impossible to tell that it was GF! Everyone loved it, and the GF folks could enjoy without worry :) 5 stars!

I was visiting the area and looked up GF foods. As I was leaving for my long trek home, I stopped at the bakery first and bought a bunch of items (on recommendation of another patron in the bakery). Absolutely every item I bought was amazing! My family got to try it all and agreed that everything tasted just like non-GF foods! (they don't usually like MY stuff). I now think I need to make another several hour drive just to stock my freezer!
So happy to find this gluten free bakery! I love their bagels, breads, and sweet treats. I find the prices really reasonable compared to some other GF bakeries. Staff is always friendly and helpful!
