Great school to learn the techniques of making sourdough bread. Heike, is a bread sommelier and works together with with her husband, Jens. Both incredibly intelligent and genuinely nice people. If you like to bake and are especially interested in sourdough, I highly recommend taking a class at the Brot Bakehouse School & Kitchen. You will not be disappointed.
I had a wonderful experience at the sourdough workshop in October. Heike is a great baker and instructor. Jens and Pilot were fabulous hosts and welcomed us all to the beautiful Brot Bakehouse.
My friend and I took a sourdough adventure workshop here. Nestled down a dirt road in the woods, this place is a hidden treasure, absolutely beautiful area. The workshop was educational, hands-on, delicious, and gratifying. I enjoyed it so much more than expected. The instructor was patient, funny, and kind, and gave us plenty of treats to try. I highly recommend!!

Instructors are patient, funny, and kind, offering expert knowledge while happily answering questions. Participants not only try what they’ve made but also enjoy other treats like cheese, pastries, salad, and hot and cold drinks. Whether attending the Bread Baking intensive or a casual workshop, Brot Bakehouse is a highly recommended place to expand your baking skills in a warm and captivating atmosphere.
