Good quality meats, just not slow smoked authentic BBQ, which is why I tried based upon ratings. Two combos included pork(good), brisket(fatty), ribs(fatty) and slaw(good). Slow cooked, just not smoked or cooked long enough to render fat out as needed.
I had the ribs and burnt ends and honestly…it was bland flavor-wise. 🥴 I expected a flavor profile indicative of BBQ but there just wasn’t any. There was no marinades, now infusion of herbs or anything. The BBQ sauce didn’t even have flavor…like, none. No tomato, molasses, vinegar, no spices….my goodness. Stumbled upon Big Fattys BBQ and couldn’t have been happier. Had live music Friday night so we got there just as that was starting. Enjoyed some amazing ribs, brisket and chicken. Wasn’t much leftover when we were done!
