We were visiting from Rhode Island and had planned to eat at Simon Pearce but they were all booked up. So we walked across the parking area to the Parker House restaurant. We were a party of two without a reservation, showing up around dinnertime. All of their tables were already reserved too but they managed to squeeze us in at a small table in the bar area. Beautiful inn with amazing views of the ottoquechee river and the BEST food around. Not to mention the wicked cool bartender and his wife who is the chef. Always amazing food, drinks, and company.
Just wrapped up a wonderful three-night midweek stay at the Parker House. It had been a couple of years since my last visit, and owners Adam and Alex have made some thoughful improvements since. My room was bright and comfortable, with robust air conditioning and wifi, and lots of places to unwind.
