Highly recommend traveling Route 4 in Vermont to The Public House Pub in Quechee. Service was excellent, family atmosphere with live music. Everyone is treated as a friend. The owner made sure we enjoyed everything, and shared the story of he and his partners inception of the restaurant and showed us his book of building this incredible establishment. My wife had the maple bacon brussel sprouts as an appetizer, and the maple bacon cheddar burger, I had some buffalo wings which were enormous, not the dinky ones you usually get, and I too had the Maple bacon cheddar burger. To finish our meal we split a maple cheese cake slice, which was delicious. When in Vermont you must try all things maple.

What happened to the Chicken wings! Used ot be amazing wings - now they aren't trimmed and SO fatty! They are gross!

Good atmosphere walking distance from the state park. Live entertainment, friendly staff and good food. The chicken schnitzel was well worth any wait time and you can enjoy the live music or a drink at the bar while you wait for a table. The outside seating was a bunch of picnic tables protected from the from the weather and that's where the live musician was set up.
We visited during their trivia night. Ate at the bar. Good drinks and friendly bartender. Establishment is run well. We ordered Rib dinner and roast beef melted sandwich. Rolo cheesecake for dessert. Good was typical for a bar. Decent bar and drinks were very good. Trivia was fun! Many locals. A fun atmosphere.

Incredible food (I had their signature schnitzel with a side salad, mashed potatoes, accompanied by asparagus and carrots) and a nice Oktoberfest beer, all for under $40 including tip.Great food, coupled with prompt and courteous service make for a winning combination.

This is a great restaurant with the nicest, friendliest & very accommodating staff!! The ambiance is great cozy & inviting - and the food is EXCELLENT - and nice-sized portions too!! This was one of our favorite restaurants while staying in the Quechee/Woodstock area!!
