Some of the best food I have had in VT

Chris Smith

The only thing to keep in mind is the menu is rotating, so you don't always find the same stuff twice. Doesn't matter though, great service, great food, top-tier atmosphere, and the owner's a hell of a cool guy. The town of Jericho is a special place, and it's thanks to local businesses like this. Stop wasting time reading this review and go check them out!

The food is always amazing, I am leaving a review due to hours of operation. Tonight is the 3rd time in 2 weeks we’ve ventured 35 minutes up to Kates to find that you’re in fact closed. Highly disappointing. We’re can we find accurate hours of operation?

Went for a late lunch. Found a hair in my husband fries. The milkshake came out watery. The vegan nuggets were subpar at best. Would not recommend coming here.

Kate's food truck is the best! I love the food and I love the people. I wouldn't call it a food truck. It's not moving anytime soon. They do specials all the time which are always great. Burgers are my favorite around! Don't leave without one of the milkshakes. Do it.

This was the best fried chicken sandwich I have had in a long time. I got the Buffalo edition and it was perfectly cooked. Crispy chicken, fresh tomato and lettuce, tangy blue cheese. It was by far the best Buffalo chicken sandwich in the area, and I’m from Buffalo. I waited at the window for a few minutes before the kitchen staff interacted with me, but the food was fast, hot and delicious. Every detail of this sandwich was cooked perfectly, down to the toasted bun.Well done!

Out of posted specials. Salad was mostly lettuce, and dressing came from a bottle. They are trying to offer clean options but not really hitting the mark.

Really great food, but takes a while for your order to be ready. HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting a milkshake! They’re so so good. Chicken tenders were also delicious and fries were great. Will be back to try a burger.

Kate’s is a great place to eat. There are not many food trucks that offer vegan food. They are very careful about keeping the vegan food separate from the meat. I also do not know how many food trucks offer a separate gluten free fryer. My husband really likes their fried chicken sandwich. If you have any issues with your meal, they are awesome about making it right. Highly recommended!Vegetarian options: A good variety of vegan options

In all the time Kate’s Food Truck has been around, I realized that I have never thought to pay Kate a visit. The hours are far more convenient than any other nearby sandwich offering of a similar caliber. Seemingly these days, I must plan my sandwiches days in advance. The online ordering system is excellent. Seeing the technology employed to its full capability for once has been a truly illuminating reminder of the amazing world we live in.Buyer-Beware: The tip selection buttons are arraigned in descending order- reminiscent of the fuel-grade buttons found on the pumps of some sketchy gas stations.Arriving at this establishment I was able to promptly see a host who had my package ready, having [easily] prepaid for my order. She smoothly passed it off after verifying my identity. Making sure I was not being watched, I was able to pull off a perfectly swift and clean getaway. It was when upon dropping the package on my counter at home, it produced an audible *thud*, that I instantly noticed for the first time its alarming weight. The Double-Smashburger here is a truly formidable sandwich. It was delicious. The vegetables were fresh and flavorful, and the meat was cooked better than many far more expensive cheeseburgers I’ve crossed paths with.I was pleased to see Kate’s preference towards many of my favorite ingredients. Notably among them were both the crinkle-cut bread-and-butter pickle chips, as well as the cheddar cheese. No ingredient was served in outstandingly meager nor excessive proportion, although its tender complexions could certainly have withstood perhaps another strip of bacon.Curiously, the onions and lettuce here are diced/shredded in a vigorously fine way, almost as if to a pulp. I feel this has been a disturbing contemporary trend and a common mark of a sub-par sandwich although my experience was no doubt far greater than “sub-par”. Regardless, I remain mystified as to why vegetables are so often prepared in this manner. I venture to suggest that Kate switch to a thin red onion slice going forward.Five stars.

Visiting Kate's was a letdown. The food was below par, and the service left much to be desired. To make matters worse, I experienced food poisoning symptoms after my meal. It's safe to say I won't be returning or recommending this truck to anyone.

Extremely limited menu. No seafood offered at all. Service is fast and what we ordered was good. But the menu will stop us from going back.
