“Was in Ludlow for the day and drove around the side streets to see what I could discover. Came across stemwinder and wow 👌 what and amazing place. It's ashame I found it 2 days before I was leaving to go back to Australia. These are the places that need to be recognised and supported. Will be sure to visit again in my next trip. The venue was closed at the time of our visit but the staff made the effort to accommodate our curiosity. Thanks guys and wish you all the best.“
“Incredible conditions, beautiful views and amazing, kind personalities in the pro shop and at the bag drop. Also- the food at Calcutta’s was hands down the best post-round chow we have ever had (and the bartenders were on point). 10/10 recommend and will be back.“

“Food was just so so.....menu average. Husband ordered teak tips said they were not great however he's not a guy that complains will just eat and not create an issue. My pasta dish was good however pasta isn't a difficult meal. Daughter did not like her chicken wings so only ate 2. Staff were welcoming and friendly, timing of food was good, just overall quality not great. Won't be back. They had TV's for the FB game which was why we selected.“

“Food was good, they treated us well, and the drinks were strong enough to keep us happily distracted while the kitchen was fighting for its life.
We first visited on New Year’s Day for dinner, which is apparently the restaurant equivalent of running a marathon while juggling knives. The kitchen was getting absolutely crushed, so they stopped accepting walk-ins. We pivoted to the bar which was the best decision. Full restaurant service, front-row entertainment, and bartenders who were on their A-game despite the chaos.
Shoutout to Nico, Michael, and a third gentleman whose name we sadly missed—all hilarious, attentive, and impressively unfazed. Watching them keep things moving while cracking jokes felt like dinner and a show.
We returned the next night and learned the staff was short-handed because several servers were injured in an ice storm (because of course that happened). Some patrons were not exactly embracing the “mountain town patience” vibe and made their frustrations very loudly known. Meanwhile, the staff handled every rude demand and complaint with professionalism and kindness that honestly deserved a standing ovation. Yes, food took a while—but the service more than made up for it.
As for the food and drinks:
The local beer selection was small but reasonable.
The Alpine Blossom cocktail was pleasant and neutral—easy sipping.
The Boulevardier was done right, which we always appreciate.
The salad was exactly what a salad should be: fine, polite, and unmemorable.
The hamburger and truffle fries? Delicious and absolutely worth it.
The next night, the broccoli cheddar soup was perfect—warm, comforting, no notes.
The prime rib special over mashed potatoes and asparagus was cooked perfectly.
By night two, the vibes were much calmer—fewer people, no angry customers, and the same excellent service. All in all, Coleman Brook Tavern delivered good food, great drinks, and exceptional staff under tough circumstances. We’ll gladly return“

“It is a fantastic theatre experience. You MUST follow it up with the Cabaret after the show.“
“We loved our stay at The Weston! We’re all the way from Texas and this was the most perfect, quintessential little inn! Service was amazing, room was very clean. The whole place is so charming. We can’t wait to be back!! The Left Bank was amazing as well.“

“Had one of the most enjoyable meals ever. Farm fresh, imaginative food and libation. The jubilee was the best cocktail I have had in my entire life. Corn soup with lobster was sweet and succulent. Entrees full of flavor .. The wine pouring complemented each courser perfectly. And the service was perfection… Warm and welcoming. Made to feel like old friends. Can’t wait to go back.“
