I purchased a small Wild Blueberry pie at Max's in Woodstock, VT on July 10th in advance of the expiration date of July 12th. At $8.49 for a small pie, it is the most expensive of the five or so pies I recently have had. The crust was inedible, the filling lacked any measurable taste. It was therefore the worst of the pies I have had at stores such as Hannaford (Rutland), Star Market (Newton, MA) and Whole Foods (Newton).

Red Door Bakery offers incredibly delicious baked goods. Their zebra bars, including chocolate & peppermint, mocha, and PB varieties, are delicious. The pumpkin pie and apple pie are declared the best ever tasted. Their bread is noted for being the best, with excellent texture, flavor, and absolute freshness. Grandma‘s ginger molasses cookies are described as heavenly and the best. Brownies and cookies, like the peanut butter chocolate chip brownie bar, fudgy cake-like walnut brownie, oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, and peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, are all moist, fresh, and delicious. Their items can be found at local stores and markets.
