Made a reservation for a Thursday night in April, but no need to do so. New space since the floods in 2023: tiny door and narrow staircase up to lovely space on 2nd and 3rd floors with a huge outdoor deck. I had the housemade black bean burger instead of the Korean Spicy Tofu, because I am a wimp. Fun cocktails, vegetarian and carnivore options as well. A great dinner stop between Boston and Montreal!
Recommended Hugo's to my friends from Milan who really wanted steak. I understand there are some transitions going on (new chef training kitchen staff) so their dinners were a little underwhelming. But Hugo's is clearly committed to making the venue a go-to spot for locals and tourists alike. There is live music on the top floor and a friendly bar where even solo visitors (like me) feel at home. Worthy of a visit.
Our friend selected Hugo’s as the place to celebrate her 60th birthday. Hugo’s made it such a special night. Our group had quite a range of food sensitivities and questions about the menu and our server Leslie was so patient and helpful. The menu is a tight selection of simple but thoughtful dishes. I am quite the connoisseur of French onion soup and it was better than what I make at home. The cocktails were also delicious and diverse enough to complement whatever you picked...
