Food is expensive, but good quality. Would recommend going, but as an occasional meal.
Crepes the way you like them. Go get ya some!!!
Great just always packed
There's a great, cozy atmosphere inside. Once I went in and started making bracelets, they didn't care.
The crepes are like none other, I'd recommend the Nutella filled one (Choco nutty, I think it's called). The fries are great, I get them every time I go there no matter what else I'm eating.
My only issue with the place is the prices. It's VERY expensive, typically around $15-25 per person.
so good, wait can be long so plan ahead but food is delicious no matter what!
Cool place, good food.
Always a local fav.
Appreciate the gluten free and vegan options - relaxing atmosphere, wonderful manager and staff, unique place to visit if you're in the area!
My wife had been wanting to try The Skinny Pancake in Montpelier for a while, and I'm so glad we finally did, it absolutely lived up to the hype!
From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy, laid-back Vermont vibe that made us feel right at home. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions about the menu.
We started with a side of the Hash Purples, their unique take on hash browns made with shredded beets and carrots. They were crispy, colorful, and paired perfectly with the housemade ranch dipping sauce. A really fun and tasty twist on a classic!
For the main course, we went with two of their savory crêpes. My wife had the Veggie Monster, packed with Cabot cheddar, spinach, roasted squash, caramelized onions, and a basil-sunflower seed pesto. She also ordered a vanilla latte to go with it, which was smooth and delicious.
I had the Cheesy Chicken Pesto, and it hit the spot, tender shredded chicken, Cabot cheddar, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and that same flavorful basil-sunflower seed pesto. I paired mine with a chai tea with oat milk, which was perfectly spiced and comforting.
All in all, it was a fantastic first visit. The flavors were fresh and thoughtfully combined, and the portions were satisfying without being too heavy. Whether you're a local or just passing through Montpelier, The Skinny Pancake is definitely worth the stop. We'll absolutely be back!
Eggs were very weird. The crepe was oily. Over priced. Nice staff.

We paid 40 bucks for a subpar burger, home fries, and a cappuccino. The espresso tasted burnt, they were out of several items. Just wasn’t worth the price tag. They were rude when passing our food out to us, even though it was not busy at all in the restaurant. I have 5 years of barista experience and genuinely haven’t tasted an espresso drink this bad in awhile. So so disappointed, felt so unwelcome and as if were annoying the people working there. My wife and I just moved back to Vermont and this was the place I wanted to get breakfast at to start our week, really didn’t live up to the name. We will not be returning. Last update: when we were leaving every other person was greeted and told thanks for coming in, we literally were ignored and glared at.
In the response to this half of it was inaccurate from the location! I initially wanted to order poutine which I was told they were out of along with other items, my wife did not receive pickles as stated we have other pictures proving that. Yes my wife did flip off the store, because they were incredibly rude the entire time we were there. You saying the burger was more expensive than my wife joked was hilarious because the point was it WASNT worth it at all. It was incredibly dry, the maple onion jam that drew her to it was basically non existent on the bottom and like mentioned didn’t receive the pickles you claim was there. I don’t really leave comments on things, this was such a bad experience we felt like we had to. No mentioned either of the terrible coffee in the business response. So yeah do with that what you will, go to a different cafe around town, maybe a single location owned one. Just ridiculous
This is unexceptable usually i dont care about leaving a review but god did i have to leave one for this place first of all the lady working at the front register is very rude we walk in and she told us that it is going to be a 30min wait me and my friend are looking at the time and then she rudly asks do you guys wanna eat here or not!!! we tell her yes she was super rude afterwards. Its been an hour and a half and im still waiting for my food no body checked-in staff is avoiding eye contact it there was a zero i would give that to this place
The food was so very good! My family and I we’re visiting Vermont and love this place
Rude, hair in our food, cold coffee, cooking staff loud and obnoxious.
Delicious food. Very friendly service. Who doesn't like pancakes? Can recommend the cheesy chicken pesto crepe- Fantastic!
