Three Penny Taproom is a cozy bar with a tavern-like atmosphere, located on Main Street in Montpelier. The bartenders are friendly and engaging, and the food is consistently good. The menu features dishes like grilled salmon with angel hair pasta, mushrooms, carrots, and garlic, as well as excellent mixed veggies with mushrooms and cream sauce. The bar is well-stocked with a marvelous selection of locally made Vermont beers and cocktails. Customers enjoy the fun, comfortable setting and appreciate the wide variety of beers and food specials, including the delicious shrimp capellini, mushroom toast, loaded fries, and corn fritters. Three Penny Taproom is a great place to stop by for a drink and a meal, and to meet some locals. The staff is super helpful and awesome, and the outdoor seating is a plus in the summer. The beer is excellent, the wings are perfect, and the double smashburger is super impressive.
