Casual. Music not great but it’s just radio.
I love that they have a vegan and gf choice. The gf crust is great, (but it could have been baked another minute.) the yoga mama was a yummy choice. The caprese train was good. I like the salad too.

The prior owners ran a good shop, and now, it’s even better! Such a generous open house to welcome the community. The pies are A-1! Staff is super friendly and the food is served quickly and hot. What’s not to like?!?

Very nice people run this place. They’re always pleasant. They go through a lot of staff, however, as it tends to be a seasonal business. During the catering season, the restaurant plays second fiddle to the catering side of things and is often closed.

I used to love getting their slices at the local farmers market and events in town, and was quite excited when they opened a brick and mortar, but the brick and mortar never met my expectations. The restaurant is incredibly inconsistent across the board. One day, the pizza is cooked perfectly—the next time we go, it tastes too cheesy or has too little sauce. Almost every time we go, the person that pours the beer (always a different person) leaves a four inch head on one beer, and no head (but filled to the rim) on the second. It’s incredible how untrained some of this staff is. How hard can it be to teach them to pull a draft?

So, it’s always kind of a crap shoot going in, but on the average it tends to be better than not. Sometimes the pizza is great, and sometimes, not so much—and at their price point, it should be more of the former and none of the latter. Sure, they use local ingredients, have a 200 year old yeast from France growing in a tub out back, dough made lovingly with the best of good spells and intentions in antique troughs, but if the product isn’t consistently excellent (it’s too expensive).

The sourdough crust on the pizza isn't something I prefer. The cucumber ranch isn't where it's at either, not for me. If that's your thing then you'll enjoy this place

This might be the best pizza in the region. Their sauces just have something about them that zings!
They used to have a Gochujang sauce that was amazing, but it might only have been for their remote setup when they did farmers' markets. Alas, not in store as of my last visits.
However, it's also possibly the most expensive pizza I've ever bought. We would order from them regularly, but the prices keep us away. They use great ingredients and you can taste it, but I can't justify the price point more often than once in a while.

Oh and parking is extremely limited and tight. There might be off street parking close enough.

We were in VT for hiking and drove the extra 45 minutes to see Montpelier and grab some vegan food. We were between two restaurants and by luck picked this one and were so glad we did. Love the space, the people, and most importantly (?) the pizza. Thin and delicious crust, homemade cheese, fresh red sauce. My husband had the calzone which he said was delicious. I haven't been in a place like this since leaving Orlando in 2021 and can't wait to make another trip.

We hired the Woodbelly team to cater our wedding at the iconic Sleepy Hollow Farm in Woodstock, VT. As soon as my fiance and I walked into the Woodbelly shop for our tasting in Montpelier, we almost immediately knew we would want to work with them this summer. BLM artwork litters the walls, there's a sign that says "trans people eat free" under the register and Hailey greets you with the warmest smile from behind the counter!

Then...we tried the food. Nothing could have prepared us for how absolutely delicious everything was! And its not just their pizza thats mind-blowing, so are their vegetarian and chicken dishes. Hailey's service was wonderful, she (and her sweet daugther!) even did a site visit before the wedding to give us advice on where her team should set up, and what makes the most sense for rental planning. She was extremely accommodating to our vegan diet, as well and provided gluten-free alternatives for our guests. My parents mentioned "faine" aka "farinata," because we eat that with our pizza in our home-country of Argentina, and Hailey offered to learn the recipe and make it for us at the wedding. Thats how thoughtful she is!

We ordered:
- grazing table full of local cheese and meats
- maple seared scallops
- fish cakes
-farinata
-green salad with seasonal veg
-maple braised chicken thighs and drumsticks
-quinoa & bean stuffed squash
-pizza buffet with vegan cheese and GF crust options
-peach & blueberry cobbler

At the wedding, no one could stop talking about how incredible the food was, and how absolutely lovely Hailey and her staff are. We could not have had a better experience. Thank you and your team for making this happen!

Don't have photos to share yet (photos are yet to arrive from the photographer) but will leave you with this one of the bride getting her hands messy in some pizza :)
