Beautiful historic inn with a warm and inviting atmosphere. We stayed in the Ivy Lodge and loved the fireplace! Room was very warm and clean. Staff was kind and helpful. We didn't eat in, but the coffee was delicious.

We did an overnight here this past weekend and had a really nice stay. The Inn is obviously very old, but it's also very well taken care of. The place was warm and inviting, and it had a very cheerful vibe. Enjoyed the tavern and beers they brew there as well. Hope to stay again sometime.

I've been here numerous times over the years and generally liked it. However, our group was generally disappointed with our dinners and certainly didn't warrant the prices charged. The $40 filet mignon was well past the requested medium rare, pretty tough, and lacked flavor. The Thai salad ($27 I think) was mostly soggy vegetables on pasta.

Generally good, but the server forgot the appetizer and instead brought out the main course. We had to wait for the appetizer to be prepared, by the time we got the main course my fish and chips was a bit soggy.

Great place to share a meal with friends. One of the new items on the menu was eggplant Parmg which was delicious. All in all everyone was happy with their burgers, etc. but would love to see more new menu options.

We were delighted byour dinner at the Norwich Inn. Greeted as we came in, a highchair was given to us quickly as I forgot to ask and we essentially had a private dining room. Service was so friendly, delicious food, Christmasy.

This is the second time we've eaten at the Jasper Murdocks Inn at the Norwich Inn and have found the service and food to be very good but the noise level is pretty high. However, we had a 7:30 pm reservation on.a week day. By 8:00 pm several parties had left and it was tolerable.

Pros:- Very nice and welcoming staff,- Atmosphere was very cozy and comfortable-Good value (especially when using promo when booking direct)Areas for improvement:- Cleaning could be a tad better (the upper part of the shower could have been wiped down (I am tall)Overall wouldn't hesitate to book in the future

What a wonderful time we had during our recent stay at the charming Norwich Inn! (Our sons attended Dartmouth years ago, and now we return to walk down memory lane in such an amazing area of the country.) This was our fifth stay there, and it was absolutely wonderful. Everyone is incredibly nice including the front desk staff, wait staff, and bartenders. We thoroughly enjoyed our repast in the restaurant (the salmon was particularly divine) along with small bites and libations in the pub. The inn is well-located just a short walk or drive to Hanover and other points of interest. Dan and Whits, a general store, is right next door, and you can pick up a tasty bagel and cheese for a light breakfast. ZuZu's, a fascinating gift shop, is also close by. Our room in the Walker House was charming replete with period furnishings, a gorgeous updated bathroom, and a gas fireplace. We enjoyed a cozy evening outside of the pub by the fire pit just ahead of the winter weather. After leaf peeping and visiting friends, we found our return to the Norwich Inn to be the quintessential way to end each day of our visit.

Service was cordial and excellent. Filet steak and fingerling potatoes were average. The vegetables were tasteless. Caesar salad was not as good as it has been. Given its quality, the meal was pricey.

Staff was welcoming and friendly, room in the old building was good and comfortableFood was overpriced and cold. My significant other and I ordered bugers at medium and med rare and got well done and med well, the chips on the side had absolutely no flavor

It was the perfect place for our trip to stay at the Norwich Inn and to see Vermont. The room was clean and spacious with a fireplace, bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was wonderful, a cut above of most others and all the staff was great! I’d love to stay there again sometime.

Lovely room in the new addition, terrific staff, friendly , professional and gracious. Yummy breakfast and a delicious Dinner on the Patio. The front porch is a great place to relax, read, people watch. Highly recommend the Norwich Inn and I’ll be back!

We loved our stay at the Norwich Inn. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Our rooms in the new buildings were beautiful and extremely comfortable. Breakfast every morning was simple but delicious with particularly good blueberry muffins (yum!). We had dinner on the terrace, and it was delightful.
