After a wonderful family weekend at the Sun Lodge, we came down the hill and had an excellent breakfast. I’ve been to the Sun Lidge many times and never knew this gem was right down the road until someone at the hotel recommended it. Our group ordered every kind of fancy beverage and a variety of breakfast foods and everyone was pleased with their choice. Delicious baked goods and a really pleasant atmosphere among the quirky, interesting items for sale.

Always out of the fresh food and when they have it it’s not hot. Great potential but just doesn’t deliver a lot of the time.
The pizza, while delicious, seemed a little expensive to us. While not that loud, the music that was playing was pretty poor. My wife who is trained in music said that the musicians playing over the speakers while we were there “didn't sound like they were playing together” We like JJHapgood a lot. These are minor concerns overall.

My husband and I went here for dinner last night. We didn’t have a reservation and their dining room was full, so we opted to sit outside. It was a super cute patio, and because it was a little chilly the waitstaff turned on the outdoor heaters. I also saw a cute fire pit beyond the patio and I could see the fire and sparks every once in a while even though we we seated furthest from the fire. Very nice atmosphere. Our waiter was super friendly and we had a good time joking with him before he took our order. I ordered the misty knoll chicken and my husband ordered the Brussels sprouts and the whipped feta. We also got a bottle of sparkling water. The food was delicious and the Brussels sprouts were both of our favorites. There was this delicious bacon jam on the Brussels sprouts and now I’m going to serve Brussels sprouts that way at home. My chicken was perfectly cooked inside and lightly charred outside, with really tasty carrots and melt in your mouth gnocchi. We loved all of the food, and left full and satisfied. Before we left we walked through the general store and thought it would be a good place to buy gifts and tasty snacks.
