Enjoyed our meal here, though the menu is somewhat limited, particularly for my vegetarian daughter. Like many places, they are experiencing staffing issues but the quality of both the food and service was very good. The bar was lively and they seemed to be doing a good takeout business.
Bar is always going to be ok, bc it's a bar.They did however just get bought by a new owner, and I feel like some of the local vibes this place had before have dwindled considerably.If you go by the parking lot, American Grill which is in the next building, seems to be doing much more business (if you go there on a Thursday say hi to Alan Mann, the bartender!).Jake's will always have a place in my heart, mostly bc of the secret smoking area off the back porch! Stopped in with my friend for our stay from RI; Went and had a steak and cheese which was excellent!! (Huge may I add) my friend had a French onion soup and was delicious she said!! Highly recommend because I’m a picky one and it was great! The waitress was very nice!
