“Flannels was just up the road from where were staying. Pretty simple looking place both outside and in. My wife and I ordered soup and salad which was very good. Then we chose some old-fashioned "comfort food" from the menu. She got lasagna and I the shepherds pie. Both were hot, tasty and huge in portions. The waitress was great as well; very attentive and friendly. We would go back in a heartbeat.“
“My wife and I finished a hike next to the pub. The AT and Long trail tail heads are less then 100 yards from the inn and pub. Great bar food , the reubin was great and the shepards pie very tasty. Owen, the bar tender was amazing and made a point of knowing all of his patrons names and remembered us hours later by name. Great entertainment and Irish music and it made the trip worth while“
“You'd have to be a pretentious j*** to not love this place. The Rutland Restaurant exudes old world charm! The owner and staff know their guests by name and treat everybody like they're family. Your order can be tailored to suit your specific requests and when you leave, you are full and so is your wallet. The best meal in town is served here and the prices are so low, they almost pay you to eat. I eat here whenever I'm in town.“
